My experience has been that as long as the chassis generation is the same, the screens will be interchangeable about 99% of the time.  Power consumption should only matter for battery life.  And most manufacturers aren't going to net any savings gain from using specialized cabling for the displays (using cheaper cables with lower power/lower res screens)--because that is such a cheap part and the hassle of keeping the 2 parts separated on the supply end, would eat up any theoretical savings.

It's a 500 or 600w (Idk I'm not home rn) but I will use a different one anyways. I'll keep you guys updated. Tnx for the tips and the replies. (edit:I have not tried any type of overclocking)

In my opinion you should go for the bose headphones, they are super confortable and their sound isolation is amazing. If not then go for the sennheiser.

Hi everyone today I'm having a problem with a msi z270 a pro that gives me a post error (VGA) but it boots just fine in to windows. That's not all when I'm in windows playing(for example r6) the pc shuts down entirely(and by shutdown I mean powers off completely). What seems to be the problem? I haven't tried anything yet. It started doing this after a thermal paste swap on the cpu. And I just cleaned the gpus fan nothing more, the case was full of dust. (Tommorow I'm gonna try a different gpu, no gpu at all, and cleaning the connectors). The gpu is a Gtx 960(for now) and the cpu is a 7700k. Thanks for your help.

Try with 10-15 + voltage. Then add +500 (a total of 500) to the memory oc. Keep core at +130. If you haven't already ramp your fan speed up. Try that. I've noticed fails with higher than 15% voltage increase.

idealy u should be running either RGB - Full range, or YCBCR 444

Chances are if ur screen is darker, but richer, you 'were' running rgb-limited which is kinda washed out , no black. But are now runnign full range.

There's no point of answering, when you don't know what you are talking about.

@Flawizz, fans are rated to certain lifetime, usually 7,000-10,000h. Thats fan running all the time at full 100% speed. Having it run at that speed won't kill it faster, like the two before me would make you believe. Running it slower might give you bit more. But in honest, unless you run it at 100% 247, you won't kill it. Mechanical things don't last forever, but usually you will switch GPU faster than kill it. Ofc there are times when fan dies on you, either due lack of lubricant or some other mechanical failure. But you having it at full speed during 4-8h gaming sessions daily won't do it.

Have you reinstalled the graphics driver again? and check if your monitor didn't change any settings like brightness and what not.

When you download the folder and before unzipping go into the properties and hit unblock. Afterwards it should work normally and let you install it.

I have had this exact issue with my PSU, you can do normal operations and play certain games, but you are hitting you devices harder demanding more power. My issue was my PSU was under the recommended amount at the time, my stuff would turbo up and then black screen, the whole PC with instantly shutoff. Sometimes it would restart itself, sometimes I would have to fight with it.

Temperatures are easy to track down, NZXT Cam, Corsair Link, and many others can all actively warn you of heating issues on any device that has a temperature probe. Do what I had a client due and run Afterburner and check the temps manually while playing a game. If your at 65C then I highly doubt you have a thermal issue.

If it is temps then they are going to be HOT very HOT, otherwise GPU Boost and CPU throttling will kick in and just cause performance issues. I had a AIO cooler fail at the pump and the CPU got to 90C but still kept going, the only reason I noticed it was an LED on the board that showed overheating issues were happening. The client had his PC crash because so much dust got sucked in the GPU it was throttling as much as it could before just shutting itself off as there was no airflow to the card.

What PSU do you have, and what is your recommended power requirements?  I would be more inclined to look there.

That motherboard has two fan headers and you really do need at least two for positive air pressure - one intake, one exhaust. It might be worth using a splitter so that you can have two intake and one exhaust, which would be better. Check section 1.7.2 of your manual and it shows where both fan headers are located.

Geraldino reacted to CrippledROBOT in High PC temperature while in game
Those temperatures are perfectly fine. While one's idea of "safe" temperatures is fairly relative, it is best to keep temps below 85c when at peak load for extended periods of time-- especially if overclocked. If you're gaming at or below 75c I wouldn't worry. Anything below that and you're golden.

EDIT: Obviously lower temperatures are better. However the difference between 60c and 70c is ultimately negligible. With your specific CPU, the Tcase (which is basically Intel's peak rated temperature for this chip) is 71c. You're well enough below that to warrant any real concern.

8GB RAM? You mean a socket 775 mobo that supports 8GB DDR3 stick? No, none of the 775 motherboards support it. The memory controller isnt compatible with newer (higher capacity) memory dies which makes up 8GB sticks and single-sided 4GB sticks. If you want to get 16GB memory capacity then you will need a 4x4GB configuration.

If you are talking about using 2 4GB double sided RAM to make 8GB capacity, then pretty much every mobo with DDR3 support can do it. Like for example, the MSI G41 P33 Combo I used in the past.

Ok so ive got the stable overclock and it ran very well, in some areas it hit 30fps but most of the time it was on the 60 fps zone, so if i go any higher than that it will give me some checkerbox graphical errors etc... but in concution success
    Thank you for your time

Start a game that will load the graphics card to 100% first.

Pull the power limit all the way to the right.

Pull the core clock slider to the right, until bad things like black screen, freezing or restarts happen. Next time when you overclock the GPU, give the same offset, then 3 steps to the left before applying the overclock. This is your maximum stable core clock.

Do the same thing to the memory clock slider.

    Done.

You can only connect to one band at a time. 5Ghz has better speed, but less range. While 2.4 Ghz has more range, but less speed. You have to pick on, you cant use them both at the same time.
