  1. The new ram is not defective works if it's in there by itself but now that I removed the CMOS battery for reset nothing is displaying regardless of new or old ram
  2. So I tried now my PC won't display anything regardless of old ram or new
  3. Hey everyone!I decided to add some extra ram to my build, but have ran into some complications. whenever I turn my pc on with the new and old ram together I get no display, but when I take the new ram out and leaving just the old ram the pc runs perfectly fine so I know its not a matter of my pc being busted or anything. I would think that maybe the ram slots on the mobo were busted, the ram came dead, or I didn't seat it correctly except the new ram does in fact light up and Im not sure if ram is supposed to rgb light up even when it runs into one of the previously listed issues. The new ram and old ram are different models but exact same brand, speed, and latency so I don't believe that is an issue either; I will link both here - https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231902 (old) and https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232476&Description=g.skill tridentz rgb series 16gb&cm_re=g.skill_tridentz_rgb_series_16gb-_-20-232-476-_-Product (new) The rest of my build is listed below, thanks in advance!i7-6700kASUS Z170 Pro Gaming EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1MSI RTX 2070 Ventus 8GCM Hyper 212 EVO

  6. Hey everyone! So I am having some trouble with my BenQ xl2411 monitor. I recently bought an RTX 2070 and the RTX 2070 has 4 dps and 1 hdmi. Now the problem here is the xl2411 only has 1 hdmi, 1 dvi, and 1 vga. I bought a DVI to DP adapter (made sure it was dual link both cable and adapter) and the monitor keeps displaying the message Incorrect Cable. Please use the DVI cable that came with the monitor except the monitor didnt come with any DVI cables, but nontheless this DVI cable I am using with the adapter was perfectly fine with this monitor when it was connected directly to my old GTX 1060 so that leads me to believe that either something messed up with the monitor, the adapter doesnt work, or the monitor doesnt like the adapter. With this DVI mess, I decided to go out and get an HDMI 2.0 cable which supports 144hz no problem, but then I hit another road block with this monitor not support 144hz with an HDMI cable so now I am completely lost on what I can do here. Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance. Specs: i7-6700k MSI RTX 2070 Ventus 8G ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming mobo 16gb G. Skill Ripjaws 3200 EVGA gold cert 650w PSU 2tb Seagate HDD 860 evo 250gb
  7. Hello everyone, I forgot to change to AHCI mode in my haste when I was building my pc, however when I went to bios to change it, it said I was already on AHCI mode but at the same time samsung ssd wizard tells me that I have AHCI deactivated so I'm a bit confused as to whether it's on and function or if BIOS is glitched, etc. Please let me know if more info is needed!
