noobs guid to marsterrace reacted to Nena Trinity in Galaxy J7 or Essential Phone?
It looks like a great pick! Stock Android and all, but avoid the 3 its so slow.

Nobody ever said that the A1 is a poor option. I like how it has a good amount of RAM and is in the Android One program. Its main downside is the under-performing camera (especially under low light).

well, if you cleared your data and system memory there is no bringing back your old Android.
you would have to find a stock ROM and possibly a Kernel aswell, and flash those.
a good place to look for stock ROMs for your model is the XDA forums.

noobs guid to marsterrace reacted to Droidbot in Why is the 1+ hype still a thing?
not everyone likes miui (really, go post a miui9 screenshot on /r/Android Discord and get flamed hard about it ) and OnePlus is superior when it comes to cell band compatibility.
I live in Australia, a country where 2/3 carriers require band 28 LTE. Does the Mi6 have that?
Because the OP5 does. And the best thing about that is being able to take your phone overseas without worrying about cell bands or if 4G will work.

What would you rather improve the 35 seconds when you boot your PC or the hours when you play a game.

Your comment is a little confusing.
Kids at your school say PC is cheaper than consoles...but then you go on to say that a $200 will be 2x better than a console 3x its price. To me, your comment is agreeing with them.
But I still have a problem with the statement. Build me a $200 PC brand new that matches a current generation console that's $600.

Get a GPU. Compared to that big of an upgrade, the benefit from adding an SSD for gaming is so minimal you shouldn't even consider it.

You can get both the 5T and the Pixel on Verizon .

If you'd like to stick with android, I think you should save some money and go for a phone that is almost as good as the Pixel 2. The One Plus 5T is $100 dollars less and is very competitive with the pixel.

well it is worth it! Just be sure that there wouldn't be anyone that want to use it with a wired headphone/headset (If they mind about charging while hearing music)

noobs guid to marsterrace reacted to Taja in Transition from "poopy" gaming to "omg" gaming
It is the opposite:
You have more time and more.control about EVERYTHING. But your mind has a "delay" to deal with the former bad experience, and time will heal that.
Your mind will.adapt to the new, "correct" experience and you will get better fast.

noobs guid to marsterrace reacted to LogicalDrm in Help understand gaming performance from hardware
Mobo has very little direct effect on performance, even with more specialized software. It's just base with features that can allow you to gain more from other components.
CPU is brains of the operation. While GPU draws stuff on the screen, CPU calculates what should be and where. Which is why games with more variables are CPU intensive. Like strategy games.
RAM is short-term memory. In games when you load level, everything is loaded to RAM and VRAM. Faster RAM has only little effect and on certain combinations. More RAM means that game can load more resources to RAM. Which leads to less micro-stutter which is caused from CPU moving stuff to RAM while in game.
