My friend and I are working on starting a computer Building/Repairing business. Building because that is what we mainly want to do, and repairing because from our research, you basically need to do repairs to have any chance at success. Anyway, we have a very, very low budget at least for now which makes getting ourselves out there a bit difficult. Craigslist, offerup, and a few other similar sites wont let our ads stay up, which is fair, because that is technically against their rules, just a bit frustrating, because for the brief time that craigslist was allowing it, it was helping us quite a bit. We have business cards, because, well it's cheap, and useful. Other than that our budget will be $0 for a while until we can be a bit more confident, and well also, we may or may not be 15 so money is limited. For now we just want to get enough work to keep some momentum with this as a bit of a side thing, but in the future would like to pursue the idea of getting into some retail space and going for gold. For now though, is there any specific place to go or thing to do for little to no money that can help us get our name out there? Also what kinds of ads are and are not worth it? I've heard that a lot of ads marketed for small businesses are complete wastes of money. To be completely honest I don't know if I am posting this in the right place, if not could you point me in the right direction? I have already posed in several small business and entrepreneurship subreddits, and I didn't get a whole lot of traction from what I learned there, but I was thinking there may be somebody here who has started a business like this in the past? Anyways, thank you even just for reading this, whether you know any good advice or not, I still appreciate the time that you took to read this, and if you can help me, that would be great!

OH I FIXED IT! So I moved wy switch to every different wire segment that could be the point of failure, and I found which wire it was, fixed the ends (I learned to out the ends on a cat 5e cable when I was 9, am I cool yet) and i checked again and now it showed 1000 so it works!
-
no they are 10/100/1000 and my switch indicated 1000 coming in but 100 going out (it is a gigabit switch) but i took it out now anyway

I just upgraded my internet speed from 100/10 mbps to 300/30 mbps. I have a 1gbps ethernet controller, cat5e, a 1gbps+ router and a 1gbps+ modem, and I have recived the change from my ISP because my upload went to 30mbps, and my router says 300/30 is what it is getting from the modem. My Intel network controller settings say that I only have 100mbps and is therfore locking it, and even when I set the limit to 1gbps it still says that it is 100mbps connection. Is there any way that I can fix this? and yes, I checked the cable. EDIT: SOLVED

So, I am pretty new at this whole overclocking thing, but I have been working on it with my R7 2700x and I have gotten it stable at 4Ghz, but with really high voltage, so I asked about it and I was pointed to LLC, but the Issue is that there are so many different modes fore it on my motherboard, that I have no Idea where to even start. Any tips would help me out a lot and I would really appreciate it.

Boot Looping at 3200Mhz+ RAM
MotherBoardEater11 replied to MotherBoardEater11's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So apparently I didn't save the settings for 3400 and it set to 2400- 9 replies

So, I know this is probably a really stupid question, but if my cpu (2700x) gets too hot for safe use, will it slow down so it doesn't get too hot?

Boot Looping at 3200Mhz+ RAM
MotherBoardEater11 replied to MotherBoardEater11's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
so, i now have it running at 3400 mhz but my cinebench is lower than what it was at 3200, could the be because of higher timings?- 9 replies

Boot Looping at 3200Mhz+ RAM
MotherBoardEater11 replied to MotherBoardEater11's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
It was already going to 1.184 automatically, I changed some timings and it worked! (Please don't hate me for being that dumb not to change my own timings )- 9 replies

Boot Looping at 3200Mhz+ RAM
MotherBoardEater11 replied to MotherBoardEater11's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Well, you see I was very very dumb because i'm new at this and I was using recommended timings on my bios, changed them a bit myself and there we go!- 9 replies

I recently purchased a 2700x (much needed upgrade from my 8350) and I was on a bit of a tight budget, but my old mobo died so it couldn't wait, I purchased 2400Mhz ram, knowing I would be able to overclock it to a higher speed, and yes, I did get some overclocking on it, only to 3066Mhz. I would like to go higher with the speed, but whenever i try to go any higher, I get a boot loop, I tried changing timings and voltage, but no luck. The really weird thing though is that when the boot loop happens, the lights on my board indicate a CPU problem, not a RAM issue. Is this a common problem? Is there anything I can do about it? Or is it just a bad ticket in the silicon lottery? Any help would be greatly appriciated, so thank you in advance for any advice you have for me.

I know that it seems weird, but I am pretty sure that the Yeti is causing the problem, as unplugging it and plugging it back in after I have stopped doing the thing that starts it fixes the issue. So, it starts when I share my screen on Discord, when I use the Steam overlay, and sometimes for no apparent reason. This has been going on for a while and I have posted on other forums with no responses so I am very very confused at this point. Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
