  1. - I have an ASUS RT-N66U router in the basement, that should be good enough right? - Good to know, thank you.
  2. - I attached a picture of what my modem-router looks like. - I will try to call them, and ask if they can do that, or at least put it in open configuration, so I can do it myself. I was told they generally lock it, so the average family don't screw things up too much. - She is definitely not, it's literally only watching streams or playing. I can see when she is on, but it's not more than a few Mbit that disappear, which as you said, should not take up the entire bandwith. Thank you for taking your time to help me out, I really appreciate it!
  3. - We're maximum two people using the internet at the same time when it occurs. - I normally play with cable, and the other user normally use the WiFi (I have a 10 meter long cable, the other user sometimes use, but the outcome is the same). I was told the modem has an internal router inside, which is the one I use (all-in-one).
  4. - My internet speed is 40/20 Mbit. - It's games in general, what I normally play is Fortnite and Rocket League. - Yes, I always get a European server (I'm located in Denmark), and have a normal ping around 20-30, which will then out of nowhere spike to 100-200. It does not spike when the other user is not using the internet.
  5. Today I had a technician over, he made sure all wall-cables were connected as well as they could be, that the signal was perfect, and that I got the latest modem with internal router my provider had. I get all the internet speed I have paid for, perhaps even a little more, and it's stable. Yet I still have problem with a volatile ping, it can be solid in-game for a while, but all of a sudden spike to 100-200 and then back down. This gives me annoying delays, that come and go, which takes the fun out of playing for me (and the ones I am playing with). My theory is, that it happens whenever the other user in my apartment is buffering a stream (it buffers a bit, waits for the user to catch up, buffer again and so forth). I have tried with, and without cable, both in my PC and the other users PC in the other end of the apartment. I have tried all the settings I could find to improve ping, but nothing have worked. Is there something I can do to limit the other users bandwith on the other users PC? I asked the technician, and he said I could ask my provider for an 'open configuration' and make a bridge? I would appreciate any suggestions greatly, thank you! My internet speed is set to 40/20 Mbit:
  6. Tried the external USB sound-card, and it still makes the sound. Tried disabling the microphone and the headset, still makes the sound. The sound could sound a bit electric too.
  7. I bought them new. The bass distortion haven't happened in a while, but it sounded as if you turn up the bass, way higher than it can handle (like a smart-ass in a car, with a bad sub-woofer turned up way too loud), although the volume of the bass, was at a regular level, you could just hear that scratchy bassline. These are my first open headphones yes. Bought them because a friend of mine recommended them. The sound is fine on other devices, yes. Yeah, I can clearly hear the song from the 'outside', no issues there. I can however also hear the buzzing/humming, and it does not change if I put the earpieces together, but it change if I do swivel motions. The headphones and it's cable is fine on all other devices, but those devices are not as powerful as my stationary PC. No cutouts, just buzzing/humming (after a while) and scratchy bass (randomly, but rarely). Can't test them on other things right now. I don't have other headphones of this caliber to test it with, but both the front and back port makes the buzzing/humming. I tried rolling back driver, reinstalling etc, didn't do anything. As far as I remember, I had the scratchy bass as soon as I packed them out. Note that all these issues, are only in the right earpiece, the left one is smooth! "This thing literally circumvents your integrated audio - this is simply a usb sound card - did you test with it already or literally just bought it and waiting for shipment?" Didn't test it, just bought it and waiting for it to arrive, which it will by tomorrow - hopefully.
  8. Would it help to put the cable together a bit? Yes, I did. I think I just had the apple earbuds in the front. The cable of the Beyerdynamic is not heavy at all, and it goes up on my table right now (tried a lot of different positions, putting it a bit out, all the way in etc). I read that getting a USB to jack sound converter thingy, worked for some, so I just bought the thing on the picture. Tried rolling back the drivers, didn't work. I don't I'm afraid. Edit: Oh, and the sound is actually more like a buzzing/humming, rather than static - not sure if it makes a difference in solving the problem.
  9. Thank you for your insightful response. My PC is a ROG G20 (with GeForce 1080, i7-6700 @ 3.40 GHz, 16 GB ram...) It is quite compact for a stationary PC, and has two power sources, like shown in this picture: Another thing I noticed, is that the static noise often comes when I've been playing a few games (or during a game, where my PC is warmer than usual). Sometimes, like right now, it's perfectly fine. It works fine with iPhone headphones, and wireless headsets, this is the first time I have an open headset with cable in it. "How is your cable being stressed when connected to each of these devices?" I don't understand this, care to elaborate? I tried having it both in the back and the front, right now it's in the back, and I moved the microphone to the front, to eliminate the possibility that it is caused by my microphone jack. Edit: Just had it again, I tried tilting my head forward, and it would get louder, but I also found an angle (forward, slightly to the left) where it went from super fast, to super slow, like tapping "dut...dut...dut..." sounds, as soon as I tilted my head back in upright position, it was gone, until I tilted my head forward again.
  10. I doubt the cable is broken, I've never ran it over, it looks completely fine as well. Also, which may be relevant, the headphones work just fine on my iPhone SE and Lenovo laptop. My own theory is that the power output on my PC is too strong, so I'd need to limit that somehow, or get an additional device that can regulate it for the output, but I don't know what those things are called.
  11. The right earpiece of my Beyerdynamic DT 990 (32 Ohm) headphones, often creates a static noise, and will only disappear if I tilt my head in a certain position, until it comes back. It also have a distorted bass (had that since I got it), which I could live with, until the static noise appeared. Tried contacting the retailer and they say they could send it further, but wont guarantee anything. The ones who could replace it don't answer me, so what can I do to fix it myself?
  12. I have a Samsung 55" TV (UE55KS8005) On YouTube I noticed I could click "Play on TV" and it would transmit the PC screen onto my TV - works flawlessly! Now I have a HDMI cable that can reach, but am not too fond of it, I used to have a Chromecast, but they tend to stutter sometimes, this YouTube cast feature however works like a charm. My question: Is it possible to get some kind of Software, to cast my PC screen onto my TV without using a Chromecast or cable? Thanks!
  13. This worked! It was set to 60Hz yes, which I did myself some time ago, so perhaps I had it on PC mode once, but with 30Hz. With the combo of 60Hz and PC-mode it worked. Seems like game-mode is ONLY for console and not very suitable for PC. Had a console before, so perhaps my mind was deluded by that. Thanks a ton guys!
  14. I'm not sure whether I have the wrong settings on my PC or TV to be honest. But I've used a game-mode guide to set up the TV, the PC is pretty much running on default settings. PC is running on a 144Hz monitor, and the TV is 60Hz I believe. It does have a PC mode. But it runs very well on game-mode settings, other than when I actually use it for gaming (except for very non-demanding games). I think I have tried the PC mode as well already, but will retry it and get back to you.
  15. I have a lag issue with even smaller games on my TV through my PC. Which should not be the case considering the specs. I have a hard time finding other people with my issue, so I hope you guys can help me out. How can I fix this issue, or perhaps improve the performance on the TV from my PC? The TV is connected to my PC with a HDMI 2.0 cable, all the latest graphic card drivers are up-to-date and my TV is set to game mode.
