  1. @WoodenMarker Great thanks. If i understand, you're saying swap the bundled AOI fans for the Fractal GP fans, and run them all at 5v I can't cancel the grid now, but could I use it by connecting it to a molex flipped for 5v signal (that way I would only need the one ghetto molex adaption), and connect all the Fractal GP fans (which are the case intake and exhausts, via radiator) to it? Then I have: Antec H600 pump (on CPU) connected to mobo CPU fan header Corsair H110 pump (on CPU) connected to mobo cha header 92mm FN V2 on final mobo cha header Thanks again for taking the time to help with this!
  2. Sorry not sure how to tag. This is the one: https://www.nzxt.com/products/grid Perhaps I miss-understood how it could be connected. In any case I think the way to use it would be from the power supply and powering the low RPM fans so that they are permanently on max (but should still be quiet)?
  3. Thanks for the input. It's just the basic grid. I was thinking I could run, say, all the intake fans from it, via a motherboard header if that makes sense.
  4. Hi All, First post here, looking for some advice from you lovely people. I recently bought a bundle in the UK which included: Fractal Design Nano S Asus Z170i pro gamming Intel 6600k M.2 drive Corsair 650W modular PSU (I forget the model) Antec H600 pro hydro I also have a 3.5" drive, 1 SSD and a Powercolor R9 380X Myst edition. I'm very happy with everything, but the graphics card makes a fair bit of noise when it is under load, and I think it is not helped by it's proximity to the PSU starving one of the fans. I have bought a NXT Kraken G10, and a Corsair H110 (it was on offer), an NXT Grid fan hub, an extra Fractal GP-14 Fan, 2 x Fractal GP-12 and some ancillaries (e.g. VGA to PWM adapter). So the dilemma I have is how to configure and power the fans: 1 x 120mm radiator and 1x 120mm fan and pump on the Antec H600 (I believe this is best placed exhausting at the back 120mm location) 1 x 280mm radiator and included 2 x 140mm fans and pump (I believe this has to be mounted at the front of the case as it wont fit at the top?) up to 3 x GP-12 (120mm case fans) up to 2 x GP-14 (140mm case fans) 1 x 90mm vrm fan included with the Kraken G10 (I believe I can power this through the GPU) - picture from a tear-down is here: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/powercolor_pcs_r9_380x_myst/ There are only 3 fan headers on the motherboard (CPU is currently the pump on the Antec H600, but this could be powered through SATA power only). I will also have the NXT grid. My understanding is that: Positive air pressure is better (at least for dust). The Grid will not allow independent control of the fans, so best used for groups of fans (e.g. all intakes, all exhausts). I should not put more than 2 fans through splitters onto a motherboard header. I should note that my key consideration is noise (hence the over-engineered GPU cooling choice relative to the performance). This is because my PC is directly above the baby's cot (wooden floor), and adjacent to the four-year-olds' bedroom! My current thinking is: Corsair H110 at the front, with the fans at the front, push intake. Antec radiator at the back, push exhaust. 1 GP-12 on the bottom front, intake 1-2 GP-14 on the top, exhaust (maybe one intake and one exhaust?) Sorry if this is a bit rambling! I would welcome any advice, or corrections on my understanding. Many thanks, Andrew
