new ram can still be bad, buy one stick used the cheapest used and 100%  (see that it works for the seller ) know it works and try that , any maby try changing sata cables and disconnect ssd/hdd it has happened one that didn't boot because of bad sata cable but happens super rarely

Fun fact, the actual DRAM Chip inside of the memory stick is the same of the previous one you asked, so they are "the same" aside for the outside.

So yes you can also use this one with your future Zen 2 system and lets be honest Trident Z is much prettier~

    Great pick.

Buy after Zen 2's release so you can follow QVL? But honestly all DDR4 works with Ryzen, just a problem of whether XMP/DOCP works.

I know that there is a vast performance difference between those cards.

But we are working with a 370 € budget if I am not wrong.

All I am saying is he will get more out of his money in terms of gaming experience if he spends it on gpu and not on a new platform.

And a non oced R5 1600 is honestly just a minor upgrade over a non oced 2500 (~25%, I know user benchmark is not real life performance). Sure if you oc the ryzen (with a decent aftermarket cooler) you get more out of it and DDR4 vs DDR3, 2 more cores, smt will go a long way.

But just to max out the budget comparing a Vega 56 (some currently under 300 €) with a 650 ti we habe a massiv increase in gaming performance. Not double more like quadruple the gaming performance. If it gets throttled by a bit (let's say 30%) we still get a way better gaming performance.
The 70 € you have left can go into a decent 500 W psu.

You can always go to a lower tier gpu better matched to a 2500 to save some money.

So my recommendation for the op:
    Get a new gpu now
And save up some money for a new platform to buy later that year, probably Ryzen 3rd Gen if Intel does not surprise us.

I would consider keeping the cpu for the time being and just get a new gpu and maybe a new psu.

A 2500, even a non k might still give you good framerates with a rx 580 up to a vega 56/64 or 2060. A 2060 is probably a bit bottleneck, but you are not aiming for 240 fps in csgo. High or ultra details above 60 fps in 1080p with current titles is probably possible with a 2500 + 2060 (or used 1070). Someone with a similar setup might want to verify this, I am just speaking out of my gut when I am saying the 2500 won't be that much of a bottleneck.

Also Vega pricing has come down a significant amount.

Just a new cpu won't give you the performance increase in games you are looking for.

Also ryzen 3rd Gen is around the corner. Even if they don't disrupt the market they will for sure bring pricing down.

Fan spinning means nothing except power is getting to the fan header.  If the CPU is bad, you can still get fan spin.  If the ram is bad too.

If you're purely gaming then almost always Intel has better performance - for now

If you're going to stream then Ryzen will be better, but do expect some performance drops compared to Intel. Nothing too substantial though

CPU at 3.8ghz at 1.3v,doesnt go above 60ish C on stock cooler.
GPU +100mhz offset on memory and core.

But the RAM failed. Tried to enable aXMP in bios, set it to at least 2666mhz from its 2400 stock speed, but it continued to lock up on windows loading circle when turned on. This is my first time trying to overclock the memory, if u guys can help me how to dial it in it would be appreciated, thanks!

After having a small case, crammed to bursting, through multiple builds and having to look at the terrible cable management through all of them; I decided that an overhaul was long since overdue.
Old case: Corsair 100R - medium sized mid-tower case. Cramped with an ATX board, no PSU shroud (spaghetti everywhere), and very little space behind the motherboard tray.
New case: Fractal Design Define R6 (White TG) - Full size tower case. Lots of space for near any build. Integrated PSU shroud (hidden spaghetti), and tons of cable management space.
The Define R6 is a fantastic case. Its very spacious and has plenty of cable management space (even for a cable management noob like me). I still have a spilled bowl of spaghetti under the PSU shroud, but its hidden now and really cleans up the aesthetic. My SATA cables are also managed poorly, but are much harder to notice because of the drive tray and rubber grommet placing. I may relocate my 2.5" Seagate drive into the other PSU shroud mounting position, right now it is behind the motherboard tray. If I got cablemod extensions, or a fully modular PSU, I could tidy up the back a bit; but the extra space means I'm at least not jamming the back panel on anymore. The door at the front also hides the DVD drive and really cleans up the presentation. I'm still thinking about how I'm going to do the RGB setup, I may relocate some of the strips, as well as change the breathe effect to a static purple. I also need to fix my peripheral RGB profile to have a ripple on keypress, but CUE (Corsiar's peripheral software) is a dick 90% of the time and likes to break things.

The NH-D15 lowered my CPU temps by 20 at idle and 15 under load compared to the 120mm AIO I was using in the old case (the AIO was also used in previous builds, so it's also aging). My GPU temps went up a bit at idle and under load, but I suspect it's because of how close the GPU and CPU heatsink are; so there's not much I can do about it. The sound dampening on the R6 panels makes a noticeable difference over my last case, and the lack of pump noise from the NH-D15 makes my PC now whisper quiet, even under full load (except for the Asus NVMe expansion card's integrated fan. If I leave that on, my PC gets quite loud. Turning off increases the 970 EVO's temps by a few C. It's a good trade off because the card's heatsink keeps the 970 EVO cool enough without it).

I did not take any pictures during disassembly and reassembly process, but I did take some before and after shots. (Sorry for the poor, extremely bad, lighting on the before shots. I messed up some settings on my camera, they're better in the after shots; but I'm not a photographer so they're still not that great).
    Before:
    After:
All pictures were taken with my, antiquated, Sony DSC-R1 camera. Which, imo, still takes pretty good pictures (if you don't screw up the settings, lmao). I used the stock Win10 Photos app to lighten the before pics a bit (they were super dark originally, can't see anything).

lemonmusicrocks reacted to Slayer3032 in unable to streaming with X58 xeon
Only because it doesn't support AVX, default X264 encoding via OBS which is the only cpu encoder I'm aware of, will use up to AVX512. Of which we don't have either AVX512, AVX2 or AVX available on X58. The gpu encoder is really the only option we have when using OBS. Unless someone has made a non-AVX encoder for OBS but that would really only benefit X58 as everything including and past Bulldozer or Sandy Bridge supports AVX.

If you want CPU encoding, maybe see if you can find a really cheap small form factor(SFF) Dell or HP. I can find Sandy/Ivy Bridge i7 machines for around $100-120 with a 500gb hdd and Windows, sometimes even 4770's for around the same prices on the high end.

I'm not sure how it functions but maybe you can toss in another video card and somehow use that, maybe somehow you could mix AMD/Nvidia so it doesn't use the same display as your gaming card. Although at this point since you have X58 and all the PCI lanes you could ever want, a PCI-E capture card might be the best solution for similar money.

    Those are normal PSU connectors.
It needs two eight pin connectors though, which mans if you go dual CPU you need to get a server PSU or get some kind of splitter.
Either way you'll need a decent PSU.

Also FYI you'll also need windows 10 pro to use both CPUs, windows 10 home only supports a single CPU.
