You seem to have a biased outlook but i will remain open minded.
I have a freesync 1440P 144hz screen simply because i wanted 1440P and 144hz.. so i got the best of both worlds, and only cost me 220 quid.
Now try that with Nvidia and G-Sync, you have to sink in half a grand just for the screen alone.
Basically you will see a difference between my 6 core 12 thread XEON and an i5 6600K in single thread games, my XEON will lose, but BF1 and games that will use all threads, my XEON starts to lead once again.
Not my PC, if you read the post before that one, i run a 6 core 12 thread Westmere-EP XEON @ 4.49ghz with a GTX 1070 GameRock, i don't drop below 70FPS in that part and i only drop to 90% GPU usage.
