  1. I had random problems with my EVGA 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra. Pc hangs , than screens goes to sleep and pc is unresponsive and I need to hit reset. I've put my old EVGA 1080Ti and stable as rock, no problems. I RMA card and today got new one... same behavior even less stable than previous one. But this time I found out than when staring EVGA Precision X1 software it right away locks everything and screens go to sleep and pc unresponsive. I swapped to 1080 started EVGA Precision X1 --- NO PROBLEMO. I recorder even the video of this whole thing https://youtu.be/RVP_la-43Cc And here's 1080Ti no problem: https://youtu.be/Q5ODjG5q6oA RMA took 2 months so I'm not too keen to send it again. I DDU the drivers and uninstalled Precision X1. Put 2080Ti in and fresh installed drivers (newest studio drivers 461.92) also installed Precision X1 and this time it starts okay but still I'm getting random freezes when doing basically nothing (webrosing etc) Here's freeze when writing post on evga forum : https://youtu.be/KMPaCHs6shE Is it possible that this is some software problem even if my old 1080Tio doesn't freezes? My specs AMD Threadripper 3970X ASUS ROG ZENITH II EXTREME NZXT KRAKEN X72 cooling G-SKILL 64GB DDR-3600 (IN 4 STICKS) SEASONIC PRIME TX-1000 psu WINDOWS 10 I DDU the drivers and uninstalled Precision X1. Put 2080Ti in and fresh installed drivers (newest studio drivers 461.92) also installed Precision X1 and this time it starts okay but still I'm getting random freezes when doing basically nothing (webrosing etc)
  2. What should be standard core voltage for Threadripper 3970X. On Asus Zenith Extreme II with default bios settings I have Core Voltage all the time jumping like that: 1.417V, 1.409V, 1.425V As I said just standard default bios settings no oc nothing I touched. I read soem reviews and guy had core voltage of 0.8 !? so what's going on.
  3. Here's my setup right now. I was thinking about placing radiator with fans and reservoir in the same place right now I have kraken rad but Nemesis is much thicker so It won't fit there I'm afraid. So bottom or top, I think bottom will get more cooler air so it would be better but then it will heat up GPU :(. So not sure... Also maybe the radiator I choose is overkill I read it might get very loud... I want things to run as cool as possible and i dont plan to overclock!
  4. I'm totally green regarding custom loops so I'm not sure especially about fitting I might need. Here's what I put together so far (I have Asus Zenith II and Threadripper 3970X in Lian pc-o11dynamic xl rog case. I want to cool only CPU with water. I want the best of the best so price doesn't matter and this is it: CPU Block: Aquacomputer Cuplex kryos NEXT VARIO with VISION TR4, PVD/.925 silver Radiator: HardwareLabs The Black Ice® NEMESIS® GTR™ 360 Pump and Reservoir:Singularity Protium 150 D5/Reservoir Combo Acrylic Tubing: inner 3/8" outer 5/8'" - PrimoChill LRT Fittings: Bitspower but no idea what I need, what kind, how many !!! Enything else I might need?
  5. I'm using NZXT Kraken 72 fro cooling AMD Threadripper 3970X. I'm not sure if the temperatures are okay or a bit too high and I should reapply TIM again (I did whole CPU surface thermal paste spread method). Basically when idle (or watching youtube) temps are fluctuating between 36 - 50C. Also clock is also all the time fluctuating 3850 - 4050. Is it all normal behavior?
  6. hmm interesting with rad on bottom...
  7. I got Nzxt Kraken 72 and 7 noctua a12x25 120mm fans. Whats the best setup for Lian Li pc o11d xl rog? Case has 1 back fan, 3x top fan mount option, 3x bottom and 3x front side. I was thinking kraken radiator intake on front side, botom intake , top outtake and back outtake.
  8. Any idea why no 3600 CL16-16-16 memory is here compatible with Asus Zenith II ? https://www.gskill.com/configurator?page=1&cls=1529635169&manufacturer=1524725352&chipset=1574737122&model=1574737652&adSearch2=Capacity§64GB (16GBx4),Tested_Speed§3600MHz, I though the B-Die F4-3600C16Q-64GTZR should be there on their compatibility list. But onlu hinx ones with CL16-19-19-19 are. Why is that?
  9. based on this: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketTRX4/ROG_ZENITH_II_EXTREME/ROG_Z2E_DIMM_QVL_2133-3600.pdf?_ga=2.172394595.1740415297.1575033650-959539278.1573135169 There I can;t put 128GB of ram in all 8 slots!!!
  10. Isn't it better to get NEO as it's designed for AMD? Or it's only for standard Ryzens?
  11. I'm totally lost with all the memory options from GSkill for AMD Threadripper 3970x, ASUS Zenith II Extreme mainboard. Basically I used Gskill ram configurator on their site and want 128GB (8x16GB) ... the problem is that almost no 128 kits are available anywhere. So I looked for 64GB (4x16) so I can buy two to have 128G total but in their configurator there the memories from 128GB kits doesn't exist in 64GB which is strange as I though they are the same chips. I tired pcpartpicker and there are even more memory options as there I could get Trident Z NEO wich is supposed to be specially done for AMD. But on GSkill site Neo for Threadrippers doesn't show. I'm totally lost what's the best memory to get. Of course I'm not after crazy priced Royals!!! pcpart picker memory options: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/#m=17&s=402933,403000,403200&Z=65536004 Gskill configurator options: https://www.gskill.com/configurator?page=1&cls=1529635169&manufacturer=1524725352&chipset=1574737122&model=1574737652&adSearch2=Capacity§128GB (16GBx8),Capacity§64GB (16GBx4),
  12. I'm looking for best quality and cable management. So I though Phanteks tick them all, alsoI like how it looks. Basically it's hard to find interesting PC case that can fit EATX. You're saying I should go with LianLi?
  13. Phantex evolv x vs LianLi O11Dynamic XL ROG Certified for new Threadripper 3970x build (air cooled) ?
