  1. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, doing a fresh install of windows is probably the way to go but just too lazy. I was wondering if there was an easier way to remove this malware. And not sure how I got it tbh. Well, 16GB of ram used to be more than enough back in the days, and still enough till this day if you are only gaming. 16GB DDR4 4800Mhz CL18 isn't that bad with 13900K
  2. Hey, So I have this really weird issue with my PC these that I noticed recently. I was playing a game (Elden Ring) a few days ago and then I noticed my CPU usage is around 70%-75% instead of 15%-20% which is the normal CPU usage for when playing that specific game. I should also mention that this tanks my FPS aswell (From 130 FPS to like 85 FPS, basically my PC becomes a big CPU bottelneck when this happens). The interesting thing this is that whenever I go to task manager to check why the CPU usage is so high, My CPU usage becomes normal again, so in game it's around the 15%-20% that it used to be and my FPS is as it should be. Then after 10-15 min the same thing happens until I alt + tab and go to task manager and CPU usage goes back to a normale 15% usage. Now I thought this only happens when playing game... but no, I was wrong, this even happens in desktop when doing daily stuff, not just in games. When this happens my CPU usage is around 70% or so and I can hear the fans of my AIO cooler ramping up so I know it's this issue again and the only way to resolve is it check a software (like cpu z, Cpuid HWmonitor, Task manager etc) that shows the CPU usage and then CPU usage goes down again. To give an example of how bad this issue is, before I had this issue my GPU score in 3Dmark time spy was 40000 + with RTX 4090 and I had a CPU score of 20000+ with my 13900K , now with this random high CPU usage I get a score of 28000-30000 for my RTX 4090 (CPU bottlenecked) and a score of 11000 for my 13900K. So at first I thought maybe there is some kind of malware that's making me have this weird issue, so I ran a multiple tests malware bytes, adw cleaner etc etc and while I found some malwares, none of them were the cause of this issue. I also deleted some useless software, no success. I should also mention that this random high CPU usage only happens when I'm connected to internet. If I disconnect the internet, this doesn't happen hence why I still think this is malware/software related. It has nothing to do with software update or any other program, there is litterally nothing that uses so much CPU usage when this happens, it's not detectable in task manager, the only way I see the high CPU usage is whenever I have the Riva tuner OSD turned on so I can monitor the FPS, CPU usage etc. My PC is pretty optimised and I have no overheating issues. Honestly I never had such a weird issue before... If anyone has any idea how to fix this or how to troubleshoot , that would be much appriciate it. Ofc reinstalling windows is one way to probably fix this issue but that costs way too much time and energy. I finally came to the conclusion that this is just a hidden malware on my PC. What this malware does to my PC is: High CPU usage when connected to internet (If there is no software on background to monitor the CPU usage) Disabling Virus & Threat protection in Windows Security (can be enabled manually but will be disabled again after a few restarts) What I have tried so far to solve this issue but no succes: - Running adw cleaner - Running Malware bytes - Running windows Defender Scanner - Running bunch of other Anti virus programs My PC Spec: GPU: Asus Rog Strix White RTX 4090 OC CPU: i9 13900K OC CPU Cooler: Corsair H170i 420mm Elite Capellix AIO Motherboard: Z690-A Asus Rog Strix Gaming Wifi D4 White Ram: 16 GB G.Skill Trident Z loyal 4800 Mhz CL 18 PSU: Corsair 1200Hi Platinum PSU Case: Corsair 7000D Airflow OS: Windows 11 Pro with latest updates and drivers Looking forward to some response. Thanks a lot in advance!

  4. Thank you for your answer. I see that you have a tuf oc 4090. How is that card for overclocking ?
  5. Thanks for your answer. How about your core clock on your 4090 ?
  6. My OC results seems a little bit weak compared to what I expected myself
  7. 1000 Mhz offset on memory on my rtx 4090 is the max stable memory OC I can get.
  8. Thanks. Yeah while that's true, I remember it Oc'd the memory much higher.
  9. Hi, I recieved my RTX 4090 Gigabyte Gaming OC yesterday and started playing with overclocking. I noticed I can't push the memory more than 1000 Mhz on Msi afterburner before I start noticing artifacts and crashes. The maximum stable core clock with this card is 3015 Mhz. Did I lose the sillicon lottery with this card ? I remember I was able to Overclock my Gigabyte RTX 3090 Gaming OC much better. I can still return this product. If I return this product, which RTX 4090 should I buy that has good overclocking potential ? My guess Asus Rog Strix RTX 4090 OC ? I wish everyone a good holiday and look forward to get some answers ! Thanks
  10. Thanks. It's the TUF OC version of the RTX 4090. I will most likely end up buying the Suprim X version, however I see that the Suprim X version has a powerlimit of 530W instead of 600W.
  11. There might be a slight CPU bottelneck but nothing too crazy. The system should work just fine once everything is installed correctly
  12. The title says it all, Msi Suprim X RTX 4090 or Asus TUF RTX 4090 ? In my country they are both at the same price right now. Which one would be a better buy ? Looking forward for some answers, Thanks !
  13. Thanks. For now I will stay away from liquid metal since I don't have experience with it. I will just the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme for now Thanks for your reply !
  14. 4-5 C degree would be fine. The cooler on Phantom RTX 4090 is quite good but not the best to handle 600w. That's the reason why I wanted to do this
  15. I have a coolermaste HP500 mesh. The thing is I will soon flash my rtx 4090 bios to a 600w bios (I have a 450w bios right now) So I was wondering if I could use the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme safely on a GPU die ? Thanks for your reply !
  16. Hi, I have a RTX 4090 Phantom and I'm planning to change the default thermal paste with something like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme. Would that help with thermals ? Thanks
  17. Thanks a lot for your response ! Do you have maybe a tutorial of how to exacly flash the bios ?
  18. Hi, I'm getting a Phantom RTX 4090 (Non GS version) soon with a power limit of 450w. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with flashing the bios of this card to 600W using the bios of another card. If so, can someone maybe explain how to exacly do it ? I understand the risks ofcourse but that 450w powerlimit is really bothering me. Looking forward to some answers. Thanks
  19. Yeah I have googled things I need to know. I was specifiecly asking if someone has any experience with this card. Thanks for your answer anyway
  20. I'm planning to buy a gigabyte Aorus RTX 4090 soon, how does this card compare to other 4090 brands ? Has anyone any experience with this card ? Apparanty this card is the biggest 4090 so it will be interesting to see or know what kind of performance I can expect from this card. Looking forward to some replies ! Thanks
  21. Hi, I'm planning to buy a 4090 soon. I currently have the option to buy anAsus rog strix 4090 for 2399 or a Gigabyte Aorus for 2239. I know that the Asus rog strix is better in terms of better sillicon and more OC headroom but is it really worth it for 160 euro more ? If there are any other good alternatives, let me know ! Thanks
  22. can you confirm that this is actually a gpu related problem ? it might be something else
  23. Lian Li 280mm is pretty good according to a gamers nexus so I think you should be fine. I have a 12900KS myself and I'm using a corsairH150i Pro XT from 5 years ago to cool it and it's doing the job just fine (not good enough for any overclocks tho but with stock clocks and some undervolting it stays cool enough) Mind if I ask for how much you can buy a 3090 there right now ?
  24. Thanks for the warning, I do have the option to test the card at his house so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't scam me but... I'm starting to see some pretty good deals on pretty much everything these days, that's why I'm not quite sure to pull the trigger on this one
