  1. On the summer when i cleaned the PC. Forgot to mention which actually might have affected. The reason i build a mini itx is because i am studying abroad and i travel with the PC as cabin luggage, but i take out the GPU and put it into its original box and into my other bag.
  2. That would be kinda hard, i mean there are dust filters on the case and i did clean it a few months ago.
  3. So i'm new to the forum. Don't even know if I am in the right place but here it goes. I was playing overwatch, on my third or fourth match when suddenly i started having FPS drops until i could only see slides meaning...a frame per minute :D. Went to alt+ tab check GPU/ CPU temps and basically see what was going on when my PC shut down followed by a burnt smell. Took the GPU out turned the PC back on, connecting monitor through mobo all fine. GPU smells like burnt plastic. In my stupidity even though my case is small, i forgot to crank up the fans, but i really doubt that this alone would burn the GPU. Note that i had the GPU for 3+ years, kinda abusing it in the gaming department. Now i know my gpu is probably toast and will be buying a new one, but i would like some opinions as to why this happened. I want to exclude the PSU from the faults because i do not want to buy a new GPU and toast it as well. My specs are: case- Fractal Design core 500 MOBO- asus maximus vii impact CPU- 4790k CPU cooler - NH-D15 GPU - evga gtx 780 sc ram- 16gb corsair vengeance pro ddr3 power supply- silverstone sfx 600watt monitor 1080p 144hz
