  1. Problem: BSOD, stuck at 0% once it crashes and does not write log files. Usually "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED" error code. Will usually happen when I'm gaming, and sounds will gradually disappear. Like footsteps will no longer be audible, then gunfire doesnt make any sound, and gradually all sounds disappear. Then the game will freeze/crash, other programs will be unresponsive and crash and finally BSOD shows up. Have stress tested RAM, CPU, GPU. No dice. SMART status for SSD shows 100%. CHKDSK returns 0 bad sectors. I have reinstalled audio drivers multiple times. I have reinstalled Windows. The crash usually happens after I have gamed for 10 min+. Components are watercooled and at around 40C during load. I have restored components to stock clocks, but the problem persists. I suspect my SSD. It lingers at around 70C during gaming, is that too high? It is also at over 60C during idle according to CrystalDiskInfo. Any ideas what I can test next? 2. Only one PCI power connector on the power supply. I have not tried another one, as I only own one. I checked my BIOS version, and it is indeed outdated. Thanks!
  3. Hi folks, I have a stable system with an i5-6500 running, but I have trouble when I try connecting my GTX 1060. If I connect the GPU to the x16 slot and connect auxiliary power, the monitor is just black and the fans do not spin. Tried both MOBO-HDMI and GPU-HDMI. However, if I connect only the x16 slot and skip the auxiliary power I get a signal from GPU-BIOS telling me to connect the auxiliary power cable - and the fans spin! I took a look at the installed display drivers, but I only find the Intel HD Graphics 530 for the CPU. Has anyone encountered this problem before?
  4. All right folks, update: I think I have made some progress? I have bent the pin back in original position after many failed attempts. Original situation: "CPU" LED solid red light, both with RAM in place and with no RAM: New situation: Without RAM: solid red light on "RAM" LED. With RAM: alternating red flashing between "CPU" and "RAM" LEDs
  5. Hi folks, Had some trouble with a MSI Z170i - based build. Hit power button, fans start up and red LED for "CPU" on the motherboard lights up. No video output. Had a look at the LGA1151 socket, and noticed something was off. I attached some photos I took. Do you think this single bent pin could be the source of my troubles? It is not very far off, but maybe enough?
