  1. Yes I wasn't fully sold on the corsair case and decided to go with the NZXT H500 instead
  2. Currently looking at other options, thanks for the tip, it will save me some money!
  3. Thanks, I will look into getting a cheaper one. I also have a SATA ssd laying around but I think M.2 will give me a significant speed boost
  4. Hello, I am building a new PC, but to save costs, I'm recycling a few parts from my old pc. I was wondering if there would be any compatibility issues or suboptimal performance because I'm using kind of random hardware. Also, I would like to know if the new parts that I'll be using are a good value/choice Here's the list of all the components old components EVGA Geforce GTX 970 Corsair CX430 power supply Random seagate 4 tb hdd New components image from pcpartpicker attached Do you think it will work fine? Should I add other parts or scrap (some of) my old parts? I'm kind of a noob when building new pc's so any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful day
  5. Hello, I need a very cheap amplifier that is still decent and that will support true 5.1 surround audio. I would really like it to be under 170 bucks. I also don't need a lot of input capabilities since I only need audio from one device (tv) to transmit to my stereo set. So 4K and a lot of hdmi inputs are not important for me. I apologize for being such a noob. All help is greatly appreciated!
  6. Thank you very much for the advice. Because of the tight budget, I think I'm going to change my amp to a Sony STR-DH130. (139 euros) I have also decided to keep the hkts 65 surround system because I can't really find anything better for the price.
  7. I will take a look. It's really hard to compare these speakers just by looking at them on paper, especially if I'm not realmy an 'audiophile'.
  8. Here are the cheapest prices for these speakers. And here are the specs for the sattelite speakers: Midrange transducers: Dual 3" (75mm) honeycomb at-diaphragm drivers, video-shielded High-frequency transducer: 1" (25mm) CMMD Lite dome, video-shielded Suggested ampli er power range: 20W – 150W Nominal impedance: 8 ohms Sensitivity (2.83V/1m): 83dB Enclosure type: Sealed Dimensions (H x W x D): 11-25/32" x 4-11/32" x 3-15/32" (299mm x 110mm x 88mm) each, including stands
  9. Ok thank you very much for the advice !!
  10. Which one do you recommend then? I'm on a very tgiht budget so please no 5OO euro amp. Thanks !
  11. Hello, I'm deciding to install a 5.1 surround sound system in my house for 6OO euros (100 for the amp and 500 for the refurbished 5.1 setup) I think I managed to do that, but before I buy this, I would like your guys opinion because I'm a big noob when it comes to this. I've attached a visual representation of the potential setup. Is it good and what should I change if it isn't ? Also, I have another question: On the back of the amp, you can see 2 different connectors for the front, back and center speakers. Does this matter, is it just a different mechanism? The website states that there are 2 screw clamps for the front speakers and 3 stereo-clamps for the other speakers. What does this mean? I'm very sorry for the big amount of questions and for being such a noob. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  12. Hello, I'm on the verge of buying this surround sound setup and hooking it up to my tv (but I would also like to hook up phones, tablets etc. ) https://in.harmankardon.com/HKTS+65.html (this sub included: http://th.harmankardon.com/harman-kardon-product-detail_th/hk-hkts-220sub.html) I will buy it for 500 euros refurbished. But with that price, I will have already exceeded my budget. I will also need an amplifier or AV reciever. Could someone please explain the exact difference between an AVR and amp. Also, what's the best amplifier/AVR under 100 euros ? Thanks a lot !!
  13. Hello, Recently, I have bought a PCI wifi card for around 20 USD to improve my speeds on my desktop. But, my WiFi still sucks because I get 20 mbps down while I get 180 mbps on my MacBook Pro. This is understandable because my Mac probably has a better card and because my desktop probably also has a lot of interference from other nearby devices. Also, the desktop is under my wooden desk which doesn't help the situation at all. I was thinking about running cables from the card output to the antennas and then placing the antennas on top of my desk where they have a better reception. Is this a good solution or will this have no effect ? If it has any effect, which cables should I buy ? Sorry for being such a noob. All help is greatly appreciated!
  14. Thanks! I know it's a noob question but I had to make sure that it would fit, I appreciate the reply !
