  1. I can't recommend you any screens, sorry. I'm using 1440p165. I know Acer Predator screens are top of the line, but I think you should start with deciding on your budget + size. I prefer my gaming monitor to be 24", have played for a while on a 27" display, but I found it to big for fast phased games.
  2. He has a 1060 3g, I'm somewhat doubting he will reach 144fps at 1080p. Why go even higher to 165 Hz? His question is: What shall I buy? 1080p144 or 1440p60. With his cpu being a 6700, 8gb of ram and a gtx 1060 3g. He never asked something about 165hz...
  3. I think I would buy the 1080p 144hz display
  4. If you have a 200 pounds budget, I often search for pc's like the HP Compaq 8200 elite SFF or something. Often can be found online secondhand for like 80-90, then I start looking for some cheap GPU+SSD. If you have some luck you can have a pretty nice 'budget' pc for +-200 pounds.
  5. Asus Prime Z370-A, I've build many pc's for myself and friends of mine. Never had any issues with Asus boards So my rule of thumb is: If there's enough budget to go Asus? GO ASUS <3
  6. For machine learning most people recommend at least 16gb, 32gb is advised.
  7. Depends on what you're planning to do... I've found a few games in the last year that really used more than 8gb of ram. But many, many, many games don't need much more than 8.
  8. "Beyond the loss of overclocking support, H370 motherboards don't give up much to Z370 models by comparison. The only other notable difference between H370 and Z370 is that only the overclocking-friendly chipset will support CPU PCIe lane bifurcation for Crossfire and SLI configurations." Quote from: https://techreport.com/review/33420/exploring-intel-h370-b360-and-h310-chipsets -- So a K sku is pretty useless on a H370 board, if you want overclocking? Take Z370. If you are not going to, take a H370 with a 8600 or a 8700.
  9. Thought Manli only did mining gear, apparently I'm wrong... Make sure the 1070ti has connections to connect a monitor.
  10. My sound setup is this: DAC = Audoengine D1 (180 euro) Headphones = Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro (200 euro) (I have that thing for like 5 years, so I'm pretty sure they have way better headphones now) Microphone = Blue Snowball (Black Edition) (Thing sounds great, at least, that's what my friends say) I love this setup, got great sound But im not that much of an audiophile.
  11. I also think your way to go is with a Intel Core i7-8700k, some Z370 board (I always prefer ASUS boards), 16gb of ram (doesn't need to be much faster than 2400MHz), try to get a 1070 ti or even better a 1080.
  12. I use 2 120's in the front (performance editions), let them run quite a bit faster than the 3 fans in the back/top, so I still have a tad bit of positive air pressure
  13. Strange, got a Meshify C myself and the airflow is way better than all my cases before this one. But I do have: 2x 120 Corsair SP in the front. 1x 120 Corsair SP in the back. 2x 140 Corsair SP in the top.
  14. Few weeks ago friend of mine spilled coke on his Corsair Strafe, I've made pictures of the cleaning process. Worked like a charm after 1 week of drying
  15. Try to get it open, take it apart as far as you can. Clean it with just some normal water (to make sure all tea is off). Put it on a towel and leave it there for like 1 week, to be sure its a 100% dry) Then assemble the mouse and it should work fine (if nothing has been short-out at the moment you spilled the tea on it). Have done this with multiple keyboards myself, so as long as the mouse didn't die immediately you got a rather good chance of fixing it by just clean/dry it
  16. There is only 1 connector that fits the gpu. You can do this to be sure everything is fine: 1- lay your gpu on the table 2- connect the PCIe cable to the gpu (make sure all 16 or 14 holes on the card are filled by the connectors, you need to use both those connectors on the picture to do this) 3- Connect the cable to your power supply 4- Disconnect the cable from your gpu 5- Put your GPU in your PCIe x16 slot on the motherboard 6- Screw it in 7- Route your cable that's still connected to the power supply towards the GPU 8- Connect the PSU cable to the GPU 9- Cable manage the cable for a bit 10- You should be good to go now.
  17. That's the wire that you need. Connect those 2 connectors to the graphics card (Not sure if the msi 1070 ti is 2x8 pin or 1x8+1x6). Connect the other side of the cable to the connector on your power supply... And you should be good to go
  18. It depends so much on what you want and what your hands are like. Mouse: big hands? small hands? You use your hand for movement or only your palm? Keyboard: RGB? Lighting? What switches? For example: I'm having small hands and I use my mouse with the palm of my hand, so I took the Steelseries Rival 310 (cuz its light + small) For keyboard I took full fancy expensy with Cherry MX red switches, so I got the Corsair K70 LUX Keyboard and mouse preferences are so much different per person, that just the question: "recommend me a mouse/keyboard", is rather useless.
  19. At work many colleagues of mine use this site to compare gpu/cpu performance, it not 100% accurate, but you can get a decent estimate of the amount of power the gpu is going to provide to you: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/Radeon-RX-580-vs-GeForce-GTX-1060-vs-GeForce-GTX-980/3736vs3548vs2953
  20. I would rate them this way (by performance): 1- 980 2- 1060 6g 3- RX 580 4- 970 But it mostly depends on the price you get them. In my country a 980 seems to be just as expensive as a 1060/RX 580, so I would definitely get a 980.
  21. Where I live the 1060 6g is around 200 euros and the 580 is 250-300 euros. So I would take the 1060 6gb for sure. I wouldn't take a 970, in my opinion the 970 performs worse than a 1060. A 980 could be a seriously good option, cuz those things can be found around 200 euros too.
  22. If i were you I would just pick a card based on second hand pricing. If a RX 580 8GB can be found for a similar price as the GTX 1060 6g, take the 1060. If the 580 is like 30-40 dollars cheaper, take the 580. Those 2 cards perform pretty similar, so just try to get a deal on 1 of those cards. Don't pin yourself down on 1 of them ^^
  23. Lol that's some BS over there. I dislike PNY a lot. I would rate Asus, Zotac, EVGA, ASUS and MSI as the top 5 GPU manufacturers.
  24. I've build many systems this year for 1080p gaming, and most of the time I've build those systems with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6g (3g is fine too, but I tend to pick the 6gb)
