  1. Yes, settings are exactly the same. All the way to ultra, 1440p.
  2. Read my second post please, even with side panel removed they're hitting 76c. It can't be airflow related, must be a bad paste job at this point.
  3. I removed the side panel and did get a drop in temperatures, It wasn't anything huge though as It dropped from 80c to 76c and even then began to climb despite having the fans cranked all the way up.
  4. Yesterday I received an RTX 2080 XC as part of a warranty exchange program with my retailer. I previously had a GTX 1080 that I only saw rise above 70c when It was 25c+ in my room. I've played a few rounds of Battlefield V, Overwatch & some GTA V and noticed that all my 2080 XC temps are hitting 80c+ with a high fan speed, I've used a custom fan curve in EVGA Precision X1 and even tried ramping up to 100% fan speed to see what this would do, even then It wouldn't drop below 79c. I'm not sure what I'm expecting in terms of any reply, has anyone else suffered a similar issue? Case: be quiet! 5. Over the past two months I've had an odd issue shown here: https://imgur.com/a/Oy8nhi6 The only way I can get it to stop is by restarting the system completely, not by turning the monitor. Earlier today, a new issue appeared which is shown here: https://imgur.com/a/J8mnlc6 I haven't been able to get this to disappear as of yet, I'm going to try different cables, etc and update this as I go.
  6. Anyone else able to offer any input?
  7. The mount doesn't bother me at all and as It's not being used for any PC gaming the freesync/g-sync isn't an issue either. The viewing angles issue is a surprise though but I guess I'll just take a risk, If It's truly awful then I'll try and return it. I might just have to get it off Amazon and save myself a lot of hassle If I do have to return it.
  8. I've been looking around and I can't actually find any reviews on the monitor I specified so It's left me unsure on whether It's worth ordering or not.
  9. I'm looking into purchasing a second monitor that will be used as a second screen for streaming, movie/tv watching and also for a PS4 Pro from time to time. I've come across the iiyama X3272UHS-B1 but I know next to nothing about the brand. The price seems extremely good for the product, given the size, panel type etc. Can anyone offer any input here, If you have/had experience with iiyama please?

Should I wait for 1180 or buy 1080/ti

I fail to see why you're posting this on my profile but wait for 1180.
  11. Assuming this is still true in the 4GB version? The 580 would only be £50 more expensive and offer a significant improvement so I'm sure I can find the cash.
  12. I'm looking to purchase a graphics card for other system as It's now being used. It's running a Ryzen 1600 currently with a graphics card in there equivalent to a potato in a RX 230 or 240 I believe. The system will be used for daily tasks such as internet browsing, watching videos, photo editing and also playing games at 1080p. I'm not talking the top end games but It would be nice to have be able to play some future games at Medium/High If possible. I don't really know the lower end of the market when It comes to GPUs so I'd really appreciate some input.
  13. I'm going to try and keep this as simple as possible. A few years ago I invested in some V-MODA M100s which I use for pretty much everything, I currently have them hooked up via Optical to a SMSL SD793-II which was recommended to me on these forums. Unfortunately, in moving furniture It has been damaged so I thought now would be the best time to consider an upgrade, If there's a fairly priced one available. I'm looking to spend around the £100 mark, I wouldn't mind going over but the purchase may have to wait a while. I need to have the optical connection, that is my only requirement.

    New Monitor Advice.

From the look of that page, It doesn't have a VESA mount does it? Also I'm in the UK so no Costco unfortunately. Should of mentioned that in original post.

    New Monitor Advice.

That's a ridiculous £599 here for me otherwise I would.
  16. I'm looking for a second monitor for my setup. It doesn't have to be anything fancy as in G-Sync, 144Hz but I'm looking to use it for console gaming & as a secondary PC monitor. I don't need anything fancy but I would like It to be 4K & have a VESA mount. Can anyone recommend one or advise me here? I'm looking to pair it with a ASUS PG278Q so It has to be 27" or 28". Thanks in advanced.
  17. Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from. It's happened to me in the past but I'm essentially getting the 8700K for free so even If that does happen It's not going to kill me inside. Main: 1440p 144Hz Secondary: 1080p 144Hz So I'd say I'm probably better off sticking with the 8700K at the moment then.
  18. If It wasn't for the fact that my PC was literally on It's last legs then I could wait, I wouldn't mind waiting even. But, trying to work on a system that doesn't want to work and Is constantly costing me money I think the cheaper option would be to upgrade now.
  19. I was considering going for the 8600K but jumping from a 4770K to a 8700K seems the logical choice for me, seeing as the gains per generation are quite small I may as well make the biggest jump I can right now, ignoring the $500+ processors.
  20. Thanks for the input, good to know everything looks good but I did add halfway down the post: "All parts below are being moved from the old to the new system".
  21. I've been using my current system (in signature, hopefully) for 5 years in May, It has bee excellent for me but parts keep failing and being out of warranty It's becoming increasingly expensive to constantly replace them, in the last 12 months alone my RAM, PSU & Motherboard have all had issues - even If only minor. I'm looking to upgrade to the below spec and would just like some input on it, If people would change anything If It were there builds or potentially any issues I could run into. Case: Fractal Design Meshify CCPU: Intel i7 8700KMotherboard: ASUS Strix Z370-ERAM: 16GB Corsair Dominator 3000MhzPSU: Corsair RM650xCooling: Corsair H115i PRO Fans: Corsair LL120 x3 All parts below are being moved from the old to the new system. GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW 8GBSSD: Samsung 960 EVO 500GBSSD: Samsung 850 PRO 256GBHDD: 1TB Western Digital 7200RPM Audio: SoundBlaster Zx
  22. My Corsair HX850 was RMA'd after 4 years in August because of coil whine, so after 4 months and it being this bad It should be replaced under warranty imo. Replacing it myself is impossible because of health reasons.
  23. It may not seem it but the noise is a lot louder and more present than It comes across on the recordings. If It wasn't for the fact the system is powered on 24/7 now, It probably wouldn't bother me that much. But I've seen via their forums that they do accept RMAs for coil whine but they're telling me I need to remove and replace it myself.
  24. I purchased a system from Cyberpower a few months back, just on the basis that I'm unable to assemble one myself for reasons I won't get into. I've been using the PC for about 4 months now, It hasn't had any issues until this point. A few weeks ago I noticed a buzzing noise coming from the system, assumed It was coil whine at first and just left it at that - but as time progressed the noise began to get louder and louder in which I decided to contact their support team and was asked to try and locate the source of the sound myself which I've only just got around to a few weeks later and it seems to be coming from the PSU (CoolerMaster MasterWatt 600 Lite). I've manually stopped all the fans but the noise is still apparent, as I've contacted their support team again this morning I was asked to hold the phone close to the PC which I did and was told that he couldn't hear anything abnormal, that's the noise PSUs always make to which I replied that I've never heard another like it, my Corsair HX850 doesn't make a similar noise to which he instantly told me "That's because It's marketed as silent" which - It's not, unless It's running in low rpm mode and even then, It's still quiet compared to the CoolerMaster one. I decided to make two recordings, one using my phone and another using the best quality microphone I have. Can anyone offer me any input on this? To me, I'm not sure If It's coil whine or a fan issue but either way I want the issue solved and refuse to be fobbed off by being told "this is normal". Microphone Recording: Phone Recording: The microphone recording was done in audacity with 100% volume on the mic, If you can think of a way to provide a better audio sample, just say and I'll try my best to do it.
