  1. Thanks for the overview and your opinion. I've heard about this too but I also read in some forums that it got better with the newer AMD models. Maybe I have to research some more information. Yeah, I was thinking about waiting 1-2 months in general with all the black friday and christmas sales or some new models. Sometimes it is painful to have so many choices
  2. Yeah I know that the budget is an important point. At the moment I would target 500-600€ That would be the range of a 4070 or 7800XT. The 6700XT is a good hint for a low budget solution to get a better performance over the 1080 and place the big GPU upgrade on hold for some more time. I don't have that much time for gaming at the moment, but when I play I'd like to play with a good performance. That would speak for the 6700XT as a first small upgrade. Any idea if there is a reasonable Nvidia card compared to the 6700XT because of the video editing stuff?
  3. Well, it's kind of flexible. I mean, I'm happy if I can keep it low. My goal was to check what kind of GPU can accomplish my minimum gaming needs. When I now what GPU is needed for that I always can compare to an upper level. So, your 7800XT call is a first and good point for me to see what prices I should expect. I was looking at the 1080p Ultra settings chart at TomsHardware for orientation. Do you have experiences with this topic?
  4. Hey, I'm using following system at the moment: Mobo: Gigabyte Z790 Gaming x AX RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-6400 CPU: i7 13700K GPU: Zotac AMP Extreme GTX 1080 You can clearly see that the graphics card is the bottleneck, because it was a leftover. I play at 1080p 144Hz. Most of the time shooter (CS2) but I also like to play big RPGs like Cyberpunk, Hogwarts Legacy etc. I also do some video/photo editing using DaVinci Resolve and Affinity Photo. What GPU would you suggest for a 1080p setup to get ultra settings for the named games (min. 144fps in shooter and 60fps in RPGs) ? I heard a lot about these too cards: RTX 4060TI 16GB RX 6700 XT 12GB The 4060TI was criticized a lot because of its pricing. But the power consumption is pretty good. What price would be fair for that card? Or would you suggest totally different cards? Thanks for you help! Nuudles
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. Thank you too. I will think about everything and sleep a night over it
  6. Forgive me - Motherboard depends on the CPU at the moment - CPU is the question (first idea was MSI B360-A PRO with a i3 8100) - GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 (got this one left, not in the price included) - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-2666 - SSD: Samsung 500GB Evo 860 - HDD: WD 2TB - Power: Corsair CX450M - Case: Aero-300 Budget was ~500€. At the moment it would be ~550€ (with 8100 and MSI B360-A)) And no I'm playing around with CPU and motherboard. ?
  7. Yeah, I know that. That's why i try to find out what CPU fits my need better.
  8. Really? When I look at some different comparison the 8350k is better. Or do they test while OC? e.g. CPU Comparison
  9. What if I take a 8350k without OC instead of the 8100? Also because of the better single clock which is mostly used by lightroom etc. Or would that difference negligible?
  10. Well yeah, that's a good price i can't find at the moment ? Lets say i stay with the intel. If I had to compare the i3 8100 with the i5's in relation to my usecases i mentioned, would the i3 be sufficient?
  11. I got an old GPU (GTX660) left I can use. While I searched the web I often read that Intel gives you better performance while using the adobe stuff than AMD. That's why I took a look at Intel first.
  12. Hi there, I'm looking for mid price pc for photo and maybe some easy video editing. Stuff like Lightroom, Photoshop etc. and maybe some easy video editing (drone stuff of a DJI Phantom 4). But preference is the photo editing stuff. I saw that that there is a new i3 which also comes with 4 cores. So what do you think? Will the i3 be powerfull enough? Or should I go with a i5 (8400,8500, 8600, 8700)? The i3 has a very nice price (about 150€) the i5 would be around 250-299€. Thanks and greetz Nuudles
  13. Yeah, old games had a directory with all the soundfiles but this isn't the case today. I was just wondering if there is a different solution today. Like the file or format i mentioned.
  14. Ok. The programming process is just what I thought. So there is no way to give me all the sound events of a game in a file or format? If there would be something like this I could take the sounds from a game, put in my own sounds and I could hear them when the game sends the right trigger for it.
  15. Hi, I'd like to explain my titel a bit better here. For example if you play a RPG and you strike with your sword, your character says something like "hugh!". Now everytime you do this the game knows when to play that sound. But where is this information stored? Is there a special software where you can assign different sounds to different events in the game? And tell them when to trigger?`Or is there a kind of audio motion track of a game? Or are there single/multiple assignments in the programm code? Or do they use a special file format to connect event and sound? e.g. something like a file with meta data like they have in the movie file section. Hope my question is somehow intelligible ? Otherwise feel free to ask me again Thanks and greetz Nuudles
