The advertising for this product is super misleading. This product is nothing more than a WiFi booster.
"Our team developed a unique technology that blocks your data report to your internet provider, making it impossible for the provider to limit your bandwidth." this is a lie
I work for an ISP. there is no way to bypass the limit we put in place.
I've warned them to remove the BS in the advertising, and they didn't listen to me. So now i want to destroy them.

Hyper-V is available in windows 10 Pro so you dont even really need to go all out on a Server OS for Virtualization if you want to run some VM's. You can have your main desktop running and keep maybe a Linux or another windows machine running in a virtual environment. Lots of possibilities! Thats what Im currently using 32GB for but 64 sounds even better

I mean anything is possible dude, you can't just assume that the the deal was bad solely because it's 64gb of RAM. OP may consider a good deal something different from what you and I do.

It probably wasn't a crazy deal but we can't be sure, that's all im tryna say

You don’t need to nock down OPs thought of a good deal and maby he has a good deal and is just looking for reasons he might spend a more instead of buying the worse unit price of 32gb and a good deal only means a Good UNIT price not necessarily a “cheap” overall price

    Run Virtual machines
    Run servers
    Run Docker containers
    Start a ram disk
Use something like unraid to split your system in to two machines

Typical BD movies take up 25–30 GB on the disc, every 1X drive speed is 4.5 MB/s for BD, so you can do the math

Most movies take about an hour on my laptop drive when it's locked to 2X, though if I put it to sleep and wake it up again it unlocks and then takes about half that time (up to 6X on my drive, though the speed will vary as you go; the data rate will increase steadily as it goes toward the outer edge of the disc, then decrease again when it transitions to the second layer and goes back toward the inside of the disc). At least with my drive anyway.

According to a reddit thread (though from 2 years ago) , this Asus drive doesn't have Riplock, so it should copy at fast speeds:
    Asus BC-12B1ST :  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135247
    ASUS Black 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray Drive Model BC-12B1ST - OEM

Another guy mentions LG WH16NS40 , and the drive is also mentioned by a guy in this thread and it's cheap

    LG WH16NS40 : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136269

There's a 14x version LG WH14NS40 which is cheaper at 60$, should be just as fast: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136250

Instead of paying 130$ for a drive, pay 120$ for two of these and rip two discs at same time.

on numbers, yes, have to be supported by both disc & writer though.
it is suggested always use slowest speed possible back in those days

the 7700k is a great choise if you get it second hand, but not brand new. Intel is pretty expensive with the 14 nm shortage rn. have you taken a look into the 2600 and 2700 from amd?

should be fine for not too heavy oc's. if you want to spend some money on a cooler you can get some better results, but it's not a requirement

every time I shut down my computer I have to unplug it and hold down the power button to drain all the power before I turn it back on otherwise it will just get stuck at the motherboard boot screen.

Actually, rendering a 1080p screen on the side while gaming will hit the gaming performance.  A 950 is the perfect card for this use case.
