  1. Thank you everyone for the reply... I'm just looking for a slight performance boost where it shouldn't be too difficult to get 4.7 GHz on all cores as that's a normal turbo boost speed. I'm probably gonna upgrade to a newer CPU once the 14th gen comes out and choose the one that gives me the most performance mainly for gaming (it could be either Ryzen or Intel)
  2. I'm using Noctua NH-C14S, and I've seen a more significant drop in temps once I opened my case, it seems that my airflow isn't that great even though I have two intake fans and one exhaust
  3. I was trying to hit 4.7ghz which is not high on my CPU that is a few years old but my PC kept freezing until I realized that the default voltage somehow went to 1.41 which made the CPU overheat and eventually my PC would freeze if it reached 100°C (212°F) I did manually change the voltage bit by bit until I got to 1.1V with 4.7ghz without any errors or crashes during stress testing (Cinebench and Linpack) doing this my max temps are now 85°C/185°F. Should I go for more undervolting or overclocking? I'm mainly using my PC for gaming (WoW) and sometimes video editing/rendering.
  4. Will consider that, thank you.
  5. I have 8gb of ddr4 2666mhz ram, should i buy another one for 105$ or wait ? I bought the first one a year ago, price was like 10$ less
  6. Yup, it froze at 1.1V so i left it at 1.15V it was perfectly fine for 20minutes at maximum stress test on prime95 26.6
  7. Alright, i will try and see how it goes !
  8. I got to the point where i set my i7 8700k to 1.2V on stock settings and when i stress test it for 20 minutes on prime95 it doesn't pull more than 1.151V, should i undervolt more? (No errors and warnings so far)
  9. Thanks for your help guys !
  10. Do i need something better for gaming than 1060 6gb? I have i7 8700k already and i don’t really play any game that is heavy on gpu besides pubg, i have 144hz monitor and i do stream ocasionally
  11. Alright, thanks! I’ve already got hdd, but missing some space on ssd for some games, because less stutter and better loading times i gues, so i’ll go with 256gb one
  12. Should i get : 1. AData NVMe 730/660MB/s -128gb for 55$ Or 2. Patriot Burst 555/500MB/s -256gb for 65$ I’ve got one ssd 128gb in my pc already from Patriot tho
  13. I will but my friend needs to return me hdmi to vga adapter in few days, and i have extra monitor that has vga connector (my gtx 1050 ti has only dvi, hdmi and display port, i7 8700k has igpu and my asrock motherboard has vga and dvi support) Altho, maybe it's better that i should wait few days, but i wanted to stream some games :')
  14. Can i mess up something if i connect one of my monitors on my motherboard (intel's gpu from cpu) and one to gpu? And is that possible, or i should connect both on gpu ?
