Hey Linus if you do read this thread after being tagged - you folks did a dist. computing build ages ago back in the house studio. Perhaps with the HW in inventory you could knock something modest together and run an updated video? Turing arch has some interesting effects on FAH and if that got signal boosted we may get some more people on-side and making some good steam for us!

i know we have Jake on team, so perhaps since he’s involved he could speak about it 🤷🏻‍♂️

DAMMMMMN Wont be able to fold until weekend. Rebuild my main rig with a. 3900x on a Strix E ... wich doesn't like the RAM (trident Z Neo)... have to wait until the weekend for different RAM to arrive

Yes, you are correct. But I think wee ned the new badges also because with "normal" projects its also pretty quick to get the Badges.
YES! But Rosetta is actually super awesome! They produce more papers and stuff than F@H! Recently they received close to 50M$ to go further for cancer etc treatment. On Christmas I will be getting my hands on my new 3900x. Thats going to do Rosetta!

I am no network expert, but should not a a problem.
Allso this „connecting“ and grayed out menue has nothing to do with internt. This is the managing software trying to connect to 127.0.0.1. Thats where the client runs and can take commands form the management software.
Try to do a full uninstall of the BOINC client (so not by moving it into the trash but by running the uninstaller), reboot, reinstall.
Oh and before check that you have the newest release Mac OS 10.15.3. That was released a few days ago.
Allso: Wich mac are you on?

I have ordered my parts for the initial PC build and they should all arrive by Monday. Here's what I got:
    -Ryzen 5 3600x
    -ASUS ROG Strix B450-F ATX
-GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5600 XT OC
    -Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz
    -Western Digital Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB
-Corsair RM850x Plus Gold Fully Modular PS

Until I have the time to find and work on the radio cabinet (my guess is 4 months), I have bought a Lian-Li CS LANCOOL II white case to hold it all, plus a set of white fans. Our entertainment center is white, so my wife wanted the new computer to match. I had my eye on other components originally (Tomahawk mobo and 1TB WD Blue NVMe), but by the time I got the money things weren't on sale or were sold out and I didn't feel like waiting another month for stock to come in. I'll be sure to post some pics once it's together sometime early next week.
