Hi and wellcome to the forum!
Did you try to update you BIOS? That would be another thing to check. -

i'm just surprised that btc difficulty has not come down much. eth difficulty is lower now. according to nicehash, 3090 is now making $2 CAD per day, and s19 asic is making $2.50 CAD per day.....
Yupppz! Thats why I am 100% eth now. I think thinking in mid or even long term most people expect BTC to be "the one to survive" and thats why there, there are more miners continuing....

Since you are taking it to a local technician, I would see what they tell you after they troubleshoot your system.
If it turns out that it is the power-supply, you can post in the power-supply thread on recommendations on what to buy.
Yup or look at thie tier list. Its pretty awesome

I think when the stock market gets bullish again, so will the cryptos. Therefore I let my rigs run. However I have dedicated a part of it to F@H. In this times... I want to do at least a litttle bit good...

Hmmm you tried DVI on this card? It doenst have dvi. But i think you meant DP, right?
Only thing I can reccomend is to try to update your BIOS and maybe let the tech youre bringing it in to test it with a different PSU/system. Also your PSU is under the recommended spec from XFX. I dont think that sould hold the drivers from installing... but either way time for a new PSU idd say

Regarding computation per watt: I guess I am the first team LLT member to do Einstein@Home natively on a M1Pro.... its running for some time now and the efficiency seams pretty awesome. Ill report back with some average points on the weekend!

Glad to hear it. Perhaps the other projects had export enabled by default and Einstein was the outlier?
Yep, guess so

My Einstein@Home Points won't sync to my Combined stats on BAM.
Here are my Stats on Einstein: https://einsteinathome.org/host/12906475/1
Here is my BAM: https://www.boincstats.com/stats/-1/user/detail/3466958/projectList
But when I click on the stats Link in Einstein, it wants to go http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/host/detail/2753f2d16393f8ed268506c6466c8038 and says:Host ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit.
Does anyone know why that could be the case?

Is this what you're looking for? Curious to see how your M1 pro stacks up against these regular M1s
Nice! I didn't find that post. Ill give both Rosetta and the VM a try. But I hope they soon come out with a apple silicon native core!

Hi!
Does anyone have some experience with distributed computing on Apple Silicon?
So far I found out, that BOINC released a ARM native client, but the only project to support it is Einstein@Home. That works pretty well and fest here on my M1Pro.
For F@H I haven't seen anything regarding ARM Macs.Does anyone have more info on this?
Thx!

I am Back! :D
Been absent of this forum for quite some time but yeah now I got some more time on my hands!
5700xt+3900x coming in hot!And maybe ill try to see what my M1Pro can do... but I think it will be pretty shit because of emulation.

Get a better Motherboard. Aside from that.. seems pretty decent.
For Motherboard choices, look to Hardware Unboxed on YouTube. They'll have the answers you need.
Yeha B550 A Pro or something along those lines.

Nice! Bu can it runn crysis? My first PC litteraly was a Mac soooo..
But my first real PC was a Laptop. This one:
I had a different account back then.

In case you really need a dual tower, go with D15. Max perf and silence. Yes the Zalman will do the job but Noc is much better quality and they will last longer.
That said: Yes I am a Noctua Fanboy.

Will work without a problem, but I cant open your PCPP link. Semms like the parts list is not on public.

Did you try the basic stuff? Update BIOS, drivers, Windwos?
Make sure to update the bios only whit the second GPU removed. You dont want an unstable system when fiddling with the bios
Power limit wont matter forr turning the rig on. Power limit will show itself when putting the system under load. -

The best DOCSIS 3.1 is the Fritzbox 6660 (2x2 Wifi AX) or the 6591 (4x4 AC) they are FAST as F and have by far the most features, best stability and security.
But outside of the EU and especially germany no one knows em...

Tried a CMOS reset and after that reseating the CPU (and for good measures the RAM while youre at it)?
-
Doesn't matter that much. Personally I think the NT-H1 spreads a lil better. But I am writing this wearing a Noctua Hoddie
Performance will be so close, that you wont notice it. Unless youre doing some HARDCORE OCing.

Yeeees I am in! U guys plan on using the v8 Beta or stay on v7 for the event? On my Mac imma gonna use v8 for sure, because that can do WUs that are made for Apple silicon and that way I can utilise my M1Pro. But for my windows macine idk yet...
