  1. Yeah, I did, and it actually did something this time. I tried it yesterday and nothing happened, just booted up like normal. Anyway, it did it's thing but I'm still getting crashes so I'm going to reinstall Windows and all my files and programs will have to suck it up. If you know, can you give me a quick step by step on how to do the .iso business?
  2. It tells me the volume is in use, and that I can run the check next time my system restarts
  3. I haven't had an error from sfc /scannow, it just tells me that it couldn't repair some of the files.
  4. I've tried doing chkdsk before and it hasn't worked sfc /scannow also tells me that it couldn't fix a few files
  5. I could, but I'd have to go through the process of making the bootable USB and it's honestly been so long, I've forgotten what to do
  6. It does. Should I do all these optional updates and see if that fixes anything? My computer is still saying I have missing or corrupted files though, not sure if some minor updates will help with that
  7. I also should mention I installed Windows 8.1 from a bootable USB that I've now lost..
  8. Hey guys, having issues with my computer. I've had it crash several times recently while in the middle of games. I've had 4 different error messages on the BSOD so far, in this order: Kernel Security Check Failure Kmode Exception Not Handled APC Index Mismatch System Thread Exception Not Handled As my computer is like a child to me, I'm very worried about some file corruption going on. I thought the easiest thing to do would be refreshing my PC, or even reinstalling Windows on it, but I get an issue trying to do that as well: Please, can anyone give me a hand here?
  9. Hey, having some slight difficulties with my reasonably new ASUS H170 Pro micro-ATX motherboard. Occasionally when I'm booting up my computer, it won't. I don't get the assuring POST beep from the onboard speaker, I don't get any display showing up on my monitor, and only one of the cooling fans spins. I've discussed the possibility of it being the PSU with my dad, who is a wizard, and he assures me it's much more likely to be the motherboard. Any thoughts, tips or information that you can give me would be appreciated. Snappy
  10. Yeah, but it's the best I'll get until they give Australia and NZ a dedicated server
  11. I play on the Asia server. There's no dedicated server for Australia yet, so I play with around 150 ms
  12. Of course not! I may not be great at software, but I have common sense. Right now, it only seems to be my Dark Souls 2 that crashes, so it's not the graphics card's fault
  13. Restarting fixed it. Thanks for the help!
  14. I made sure the monitor was plugged into the graphics card, but I haven't restarted my computer yet. I'll do that and update you on the problem.
