  1. when he system fan connector is disconnected from the motherboard it boots up fine and all of the fans spin.
  2. heres the best photo I can get of the front panel connectors
  3. I've just opened up the case and tried turning it on. I get some flashes of light from the graphics card and the CPU fan flickers a bit but then stops
  4. I've attached a speaker directly to the motherboard and tried again to see if it is giving out an error code but getting nothing from the speaker
  5. Hi so I've recently built my first PC and when I try to power it on it wont turn on. The power light turns on but none of the fans spin up and I don't get anything on the display. I think I Might have shorted a component but don't have any spare parts to test. I have checked and re-checked all of the connectors and they all seem to be fine. Any help would be awesome. EDIT: Components are: AMD Athlon X4 860K Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2 Sapphire Nitro Radeon RX 460
  6. Ok it turns out that all that was needed was a bit of harder pushing.
  7. heres a video of me trying to plug it in. how far I insert it is how far it will go, and it is definitely aligned correctly. IMG_1702[2].MOV
  8. here you go. thought this would be a common issue so didn't think they were necessary
  9. Hi I'm doing my first PC build and the SATA power cable won't plug into my hard drive. I've checked and re-checked the orientation but it just wont go in. Are they just really hard to plug in or am I doing something wrong?
  10. So. I did a hard reset on start up. Now my computer won't post. I would put up full specs but can't really access them and haven't written them down, so here's what I can remember: AMD A4-5300 APU, 16GB ram, MSI FM2-A75MA-P33. I realised right after I done it how stupid it was, so what has happened and is it fixable? Thanks P.S. I'm a bit of a pc noob so simple terms please P.P.S Its not a new build, been using for a year or two now.
