  1. I was aware of this but its been a while and I just assumed paste was thicker than I remembered... been a while heh? anyway thanks for your help you got me thinking right
  2. Okay so I was so sure that I did it well that I left it run a bit longer, and lo and behold the paste actually went bad (my gpu was idleing at 30c after 10 min of idleing but after 30 it started going up and idled at 65c so yeah sorry about the stupid post, but still some weird thermal paste) how do I delete that mess now? the issue is resolved I ordered some fresh artic 5
  3. i changed the thermal paste on my i7 6700K and on my gpu and after redoing the cpu 3 times I still get 75-80 degrees idleing in windows and a 100c when on a browser. My cooler is an enermax aio with both pump and fan still working. I have no clue what is going on (forgot to say that the gpu temps are fine so it isnt the thermal paste)
  4. We often see buget gaming builds using some old optiplex 775 with a good old Q6600 but some people are scared of "used" so here is what we mean when we say "reliable" or "overengineered" by the way this is an even older version of optiplex with a pentium 4 credits goes to Shawn K for the video -channel link:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9PTo9A5SmqtKTrpWOWKNbA
  5. Ok ignore everything we talked about and let me wright a book...an actual help. 1440p is a higher, more demanding, better looking resolution that is more expensive. 1080p is the standard and so is cheaper (you can get them used in very good conditions for 20$) and still looks good freesinc is a v-sinc integrated to your screen but without inpput lag (it's a small processor) and finally refresh rates 60Hz(the standard) and 144Hz(motion is smooth as hell) but note that some people can feel sick with 144Hz (you still can disable it no worrys) For better understanding let me give you an exemple:- I play FPS a lot and want responsiveness-> I aim first at the refresh rate then I look at the other features -I want beauty and smooth graphism-> I aim first at the resolution then I look at the other features And for RPGs... you don't need none of that cuz let's agree... they don't look espacially good, they don't need, DAT SPEED or anything like that because there here for gameplay so If I were you I would get something That I actually need so in this case the 75Hz 1080p Freesinc one is just fine (btw as I told you The Acer XF240H is 144Hz, 1080p, as Freesinc, aaaannnnnd is only max 280$ (cuz I live somewhere the taxes are kinda high and bought it NEW for 265$ so you could get it kinda very cheap used... if you find one used) I hope I helped you find your display rpg master PS: when I say taxes are high where i live: my monitor(XF240H) cost RAW 210$ and I payed 55$ of taxes so 265$
  6. yeah I know but it won't be the same quality at all on you're desktop it even looks kinda not clear(overscaliing). second question is hardware more expensive in philipines?
  7. wait... you wrote that the 75hz one was 1080p but you want 1440p? in anyways 75Hz is already a higher refresh rate than normal(60Hz) so for rpgs It's just fine
  8. well the 470$ also have higher resolution but what country you live in? Also I own an Acer XF 240H 1080p 144Hz freesinc 24" monitor wich costs around 280$ and is great
  9. Since It will always be the same chip the best one would be the cheapest that as OC potential if you don't mind temps. Also if you're about the budget and don't really care about overclocking a reference one should offer Very similar performances. (Just like Mi26 said and is pretty much absolutly right)
  10. Hey I made a build arround the same price tag you can check my config on my profile page but if you want to upgrade later you should take a less powerfull graphic card like I did wich will on the long term will only need a GPU upgrade (for reference, my rig can play ANY games everything on ultra at 1080p and even 1440p exept maybe arma 3 with lower render distance wich needs like a freaking 2500$ beast to be achieved) if you want more precisions just ask me.
  11. Yes Thanks for the reply but my question was more like: did anyone actually tried because as like said before specs are actually not really precise(I saw someone fit an 1070 from gygabite I don't remember wich model but the one that's pretty much the same width as the Armor but longer and he had to cut it).
  12. I currently own a RX 480 but would like to upgrade later to a gtx 1080 armor knowing that the size limit SHOULD be 266mm but it as been proved by Linus that a 277mm reference card can fit. So here is my question: Did anyone succesfully jammed a GTX 1080 armor or any other 279mm card in this case?
