  1. GTX 650 is a lot worse than a GTX 660, but you might be able to play some newer games with lower settings if you drop resolution to 720p.
  2. It could run 2013 and older games on 3 1080p monitors, or at least my GTX 960 can which should be really close to GTX 1050 Ti.
  3. It's still a decent CPU for gaming. Is it a prebuilt OEM PC?
  4. For gaming? No. I have 3 1080p monitors in surround (5760x1080) and my GTX 960 can only ran some older or lighter games on all 3 monitors.
  5. You could just install it on top of Ubuntu (or some other distro) and choose Kodi in the login menu.
  6. But that's a Windows Vista Basic sticker, not XP sticker.
  7. Maybe Kodi? I don't know if there is any smart tv like OS for a PC.
  8. DisplayPort vs HDMI vs DVI vs VGA vs RGB Scart vs Component vs S-Video vs Composite vs RF
  9. Here is some of the best CPU's for it. Anything lower than those isn't worth it to upgrade to. 1600MHz FSB: Xeon X5492 @ 3.40GHz Xeon X5482 @ 3.20GHz Xeon E5472 @ 3.0GHz 1333MHz FSB: Xeon X5470 @ 3.33GHz Xeon X5460 @ 3.16GHz Xeon X5450 @ 3.0GHz Xeon E5450 @ 3.0GHz
  10. It depends how much the price is. $23 more doesn't sound bad at all for over 50% extra performance
  11. In that case I'd get the Precision T7400. It should do fine with the R9 270. Q9650 and E5430 can't be BSEL modded, those already have 1333MHz FSB.
  12. Would you use it for anything else than gaming? And are those your only options?
  13. Maybe you could use a Raspberry Pi? Do you use discord or something similar? I always keep discord open on one of my monitors. After using 4 monitors for years I wouldn't be able to live with only one.
  14. From those I'd probably get that Dell Precision T3500 and upgrade CPU to a 6-core Xeon X5660, X5670, X5675 etc. or that custom server and upgrade it to 2x 6-core Xeons.
  15. I'm pretty sure HP XW8200 doesn't support anything else than Pentium 4 based single core Xeons. X7460 was made for completely different systems.
  16. CPU is soldered on it, and even if it was socketed it wouldn't be worth upgrading because it's just an old AMD laptop. But you can upgrade RAM.
  17. 4gb of ram? You can easily make it really slow if you open anything that uses a lot of ram, for example a few tabs on Chrome.
  18. Even that motherboard alone is worth $100. GTX 1060 should work fine on it. But if you want more CPU power you can always get a cheap 6c/12t Xeon and overclock to 4GHz or higher.
  19. Yes, Ethernet port does work without WiFi card. And if you want you could always buy a USB WiFi adapter.
  20. I'd get the one with GTX 1070 Ti and 16GB RAM.
  21. Yes, without scaling everything would be way too small to read. And yes, this is the main reason why there isn't many 24" 4K monitors, even on 27" monitor you'd have to scale it. Windows does have a setting for scaling, but it's not always perfect so some things might be blurry etc. And depending on how much you scale, you don't get much more space on screen than on a 1080p (or 1440p) monitor.
