  1. I've posted this here already (almost a year ago) but this is what I've got in Cinebench R20. And here is some Cinebench R15 result from 2018 I need to get a better cooler because my current one has bad mounting system so the temps are a bit high
  2. SETI@home is going to hibernation on March 31. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=85267
  3. T400/T500? They should run Windows 10 just fine if you have enough RAM
  4. It's probably similar to this one. It has an Intel C600 series chipset, not X79 which is for single socket only. I personally wouldn't buy any of those chinese boards.
  5. Why did you buy a X5550 and not a 6c/12t Xeon? They are pretty cheap and a lot better than those old 45nm quad cores. 650W should be enough.
  6. But doesn't everyone use computers as heaters? I'm currently folding with GTX 760 and GTX 660 (and GT 640 & 430)
  7. Shouldn't the GTX 760 be better for computing than 1050? GTX 760 has 2378 GFLOPS and 1050 has 1862 GFLOPS
  8. I'm currently folding with GTX 760, GTX 660, GT 640 (GDDR5) and GT 430. I would use my GTX 960 too but it has a really loud blower cooler
  9. My GT 430 got new WU after completing previous one but a GTX 760 in the same PC haven't got any work units in a while
  10. HP Z400 actually is X58. Only Xeon W3680 and W3690 can be overclocked on the Z400
  11. UserBenchmark is the worst benchmark for comparing CPU's. IMO cpubenchmark is fine and I use it sometimes. But I prefer Cinebench Ryzen 5 1600 AF is pretty much a Ryzen 5 2600 with lower clockspeed. The old non-AF 1600 is worse because it's a first gen Ryzen. Neither of them have integrated graphics.
  12. It probably does work with Q9550 as there is Geekbench results with the Optiplex 330 and Q9550. https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/1535353
  13. That should work. Is it going to be some retro PC build or something?
  14. You could clean it with isopropyl alcohol or maybe even with dry paper
  15. That's not really a good option for someone who has the whole system because the PSU isn't standard ATX size.
  16. There seems to be adapters for the Z440 and Z640 https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000125099914.html
  17. HP Z440 Workstation most likely has a proprietary power connector. At least the older X58 based Z400 has. That Asus P6X58D-E is a nice board. I have one in my main PC.
  18. ThinkPad T480 might have problems with thunderbolt controller. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Recent-Lenovo-ThinkPad-laptops-have-a-problem-with-defective-Thunderbolt-Controllers.451061.0.html
