  1. Microsoft would have been split if the judge for the trial hadn't gone to the media, that was the only reason that MS was able to escape being split. In the end they were still under a committee review for 10 years that could have imposed even more restrictions. Case: Opinion : U.S. v. Microsoft Corporation (justice.gov)
  2. I have to disagree here, the last time the DOJ filed something like this was back in 1998 against Microsoft for essentially the exact same thing that Apple is being sued for this time. In that '98 suit, Microsoft was being accused of using its position as the largest OS vendor to block access to the internal systems of the OS by denying other internet browsers. Quite honestly in this case the biggest example of antitrust is the Tile complaint, where Apple's denial for background Bluetooth access killed tile's app on the iPhone, but coincidentally the Apple version of the same product (released 2 years later) doesn't have that problem. That is an example of antitrust practices and something that DOJ can most definitely extract concessions from Apple from.
  3. Hang on are you talking about the strip or the power button LED. I have the same case but I use an ASUS board and my power button LED doesn't activate unless the PC is sleeping.
  4. Well it depends on if you're gonna upgrade the system or not. If you are then I'd recommend the LT720 - DeepCool, which is nice since it doesn't use an Asetek design. If you're not thinking about an upgrade then maybe something aircooled or a smaller rad, LT520 - DeepCool.
  5. Well in any case I think I'll just replace it, since I may as well have the another exhaust fan to cope with my 6 intake fans. It'll probably be another Deepcool unit since so far they've been nothing but perfect.
  6. Lian Li is probably where you want to go then. I think the O-11 in some form is available in most microcenters. It's also well designed since they work with Der Bauer on it, and honestly, I thought it was cheap when I got mine.
  7. In that case it would be nice if armoury crate worked properly. I'd like to set it up so the bottom fans and exhaust fans ramp up with GPU temps since the CPU seems to be unbothered no matter what.
  8. Definitely depends on GPU budget. For a reasonable price a AMD 6950XT might be a good deal if you aren't super into ray tracing. Even then it's pretty good at it, just not at the level of an NVIDIA GPU.
  9. I think the temps are fine, I usually idle around 40 to 50C and I've only seen it get to 90C on a Cinebench run. The GPU is a similar story, only it seems to run about 70 to 80C under heavy load. The hardest thing I have is RE4 Remake, and that gives it a good workout. I doubt this fan would help with GPU cooling anyway.
  10. Hey All, I recently built a new PC and unfortunately one of my fans arrived DOA. It's even a Noctua unit! Since I'm returning it regardless, I figured I'd double check if I even needed to replace it. Pictured is my current fan setup in my O11 Dynamic Evo. I'm currently using an intake through the rad on top and another intake on the bottom of the case. My exhaust is through the side of the case. Basically, do I even need to replace the dead noctua fan? I've attached a truly amazing photo to try and illustrate my situation. This is my first build in 10 years, I have to say it's quite easy now lol. Only issue was AM5 not wanting to recognize all my RAM on the first boot. Any help is appreciated.
  11. Having lived near and used the German autobahn I'd be shocked if Mercedes even wanted to run fully auto on the autobahn.
  12. MS Flight Sim is also incredibly unique with its live streaming of weather data, plane data etc. You can't get something like that on Linux. Buying software again is not a good solution, however the onus is on MS to make some sort of launcher thing for Linux.
  13. I went to Win11 for the native linux gui. That was about it.
  14. lol. How to tell me you don't understand the automotive industry without saying it.
  15. I've been in on meetings with the people who actually make the heavy trucks. They don't even see a market for autonomous rigs outside of the shipping docks.
  16. Finding some parts used may be your only option, such as old prebuilts that can be harvested for RAM and GPU items.
  17. Welp my solution was to just get some more ram. 32GB of Kingston CL20 3200 ram has solved my problem.
  18. Hello, I use Bitdefender as my AV and Firewall but for some reason it is completely eating nearly 250 to 300Mb on my Razer Blade. Is there a setting hidden somewhere that can reduce the consumption or is my best bet just to stuff more ram in it.
  19. That would be valid, if the RMA form couldn't be stored until employees return.
  20. I haven't done the exterior at all. I was working exclusively in the interior. What you see in the photo is a car that sees a mechanical car wash because of their underbody wash which gets the salt off the bottom. Once I move out of a snowy area I'm gonna polish the crap out of the swirl marks and use a DA and the products then.
  21. So DOS? There we go, use MS DOS 6.1 it's the most secure OS there was.
  22. IIRC, unless the shipper requires a signature it means they don't require it but it can be gotten. I ordered a steering wheel and it had to be signed for and FedEx had Signature Required on the tracking page. Sometimes shippers won't require signatures to cheap out on shipping. Also the last time I shipped a Piano it had to be freighted around, what kinda piano gets shipped through fedex?
  23. Thanks for the help. I'm basically still kinda of early planning. PCPP has been a huge god send though since the last time I built a PC.
  24. Finally got the old girl all cleaned up. I'm now convinced that Griot's Products are actually just black magic in a bottle. It's a 2004 BMW 330i ZHP 6MT
