  1. Thanks i'll save this to my list and keep an eye on the prices and new hardware.
  2. Probably wont get newly announced products since it will be overpriced, thats why i turned to forums to at least make a list that can be changed in the future before I decide to order parts but just to have a base from where I'm starting from or i can look at ...
  3. Would like to stick with Nvidia don't want to make a switch to AMD maybe even go 1 gen down to 3000 series if its affordable
  4. Budget (including currency): Around 2000€ Country: EU Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop, premiere, blender, overwatch, csgo, valorant, ark, GTA5 Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm building an entirely new ATX size system for around 2000€ targeted gaming at 1440p 144hz, planning on buying it in the next 2/3 months around July/August/September 2023. I would really like an Rtx 4000 series and an i7 processor at least, DDR5 RAM if possible since I'm planning on keeping the system for the next 5+ years. All recommendations are welcomed except for a case I'll buy one in a local store. Thanks in advance
  5. Just to follow up with a solution, I think I messed something up in my MSI afterburner software since I tried overclocking the GPU a little it corrupted some files or something but I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I uninstalled the app and deleted the files but nothing happened. The solution was DDU, so I removed the GPU from my system, cleared the CMOS battery, booted the onboard graphics into safe mode windows, started the program, and uninstalled all Nvidia drivers software i had on my system. Turned the PC off, installed the GPU back in turned it back on and only downloaded GeForce software for drivers, been working flawlessly since then. Not messing with MSI afterburner anymore.
  6. Hello everyone I have an PC with an I7-6700k and an MSI GTX1080 its about 3 maybe 4 years old and i started encountering issues: Explanation: Recently I've started getting huge lag spikes in games that basicly makes them unplayable. For example lets say im playing Overwatch (it hapens in every other game aswell) the same settings I've always played on since it came out (https://prosettings.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Overwatch-Graphic-Settings.jpg) here is a link to the same settings. So one day im playing without any issues and suddenly my game CRASHES, this is the first time a game ever crashed on this PC which confused me but i sad okay it happens then i restarted the game got back in but the game kept going fom 400fps down to 1fps and back to 200fps and so on and so forth, it was just jumping all arround the place and when i took a look at the task manager i saw that my gpu was running at 99% usage!! And ever since that day im unable to play any game without lagging my GPU immediatly jumps to above 80% usage but temps stay normal. Troubleshooting: - At first I thought maybe its thermals but nope its running fine arrund 65-75 degrees celcius and there is not dust on it or in it - Then i thought it was drivers so I unninstalled drivers from Windows10 device manager reinstalled new ones but it didn't help the same problem persisted - I tried Googling the problem but changing the settings didn't help (https://prnt.sc/zwr21o) here is what i changed - If anyone is wondering no I haven't changed any parts in my pc since i bought it so there could be no bottlenecking - I also installed all windows updates which didn't resolve any issues Conclusion: I have no idea what might be causing these issues with my GPU and I really need help with it, I will be responding underneath the thread providing any additional information you might need and i will be updating the thread with new information. Please help ***************************************************** Me from the future who fixed the issue (it was something wrong with the drivers) - removed the gpu from the pc - removed the CMOS battery and cleared it by holding power button on my case - added back the battery started the pc, display port now plugged in to motherboard - by using display driver unninstaller i unninstalled all the drivers for my gpu and removed all related software - inserted the gpu back in to the pc - turned it on installed NVIDIA drivers and it was all back to normal
  7. Vsync makes it glitchy/laggy or should i say there is screen tearing so i don't use it cuz its awfull
  8. Hello, so i recently went from windows 10 n *something* (forgot the correct name) to windows 10 pro, and now i can't seem to get an option for a higher refreshrate in my games. I have a GTX 1080 and i overclocked my monitor to 76hz with nvidia control panel, it says its overclocked but there is no option to go to targeted refresh rate in any of the games *gonna add some screenshots*. I already reinstalled my drivers, also tried *Custom Installation-clean install* for drivers but nothing helped. At this point idk what else to do any ideas?
  9. I have a msi Z170a pro and i can't find any msi fan controll software, i can only find the gpu controll software

  14. Hello everyone! I want to play GTA 5 but i cant because it says mfreadwrite.dll missing so i googled that like every other smart person and i found a few fixes. First thing i did was reinstall the game (duuh...) but then that didn't work so i downloaded everything from these Microsoft sites: - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=53356 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=49919 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53356 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4016817/media-feature-pack-for-n-edition-of-windows-10-version-1703-april-2017 And none of them worked, for the x64 version it said i already have it installed on my pc but for the x86 version (https://prnt.sc/fgjbmz) it popped up as this https://prnt.sc/fgjbt6 !!! So my problem right now is why the heck does it say its not applicable to my computer? And i also cant find windows media player 12 to download either!
  15. http://prntscr.com/fgj25n Yeah windows has been fking me up lately...

Im planing a new pc build for livestreaming and gaming purposes for arround 1,400 € because i dont need al the components if i did it would cost me arround 2k€ and this is what i came up with: ________________________________________________ New parts: CPU - Intel i7 6700k 4.00Hz Water cooling - You guys said to throw this one out (Corsair H75) so i exchanged it with Corsair H110 280mm Motherboard - MSI Z170A-PRO RAM - Kingston Fury 16GB (2x8 DDR4) GPU - Palit Geforce GTX 1080 Super JetStream 8GB Case - I also changed the case from (NZXT S340) to a new and more compact Corsair carbide 400C ________________________________________________ Previus PC parts: PSU - Sharkoon 700W 80BronzePlus HDD - WD Blue 1TB SSD - Samsung 120GB (Windows 10 only on it) CDROM - Random one for 20€ _______________________________________________ The main question i have now is will it work if i just plug my SSD with a preinstalled windows10 that i used on my other pc with a totaly diferent motherboard and a AMD CPU? Or will i have to reinstall everything? I know ill have to delete old drivers for GPU and install new ones but will i have to totaly erase everything i really dont want to loose any files Thankyou for your tips and comments!
