  1. Goals: gaming particularly on the PS4 Pro. and the occasional streaming services. I'm aware that the LG is cheaper, but I don't want it now as this is for Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect: Andromeda. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-55-class-54-6-diag--led-2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-with-high-dynamic-range-silver/4953902.p?skuId=4953902 The LG 55UH7700 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-55-class-54-6-diag--2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-with-high-dynamic-range-black/4801600.p?skuId=4801600&cmp=RMX The Sony XBR-55X850D
  2. This tv is for the PS4 Pro. With that in mind, is the Motionflow XR 960 thing going to make a difference? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-55-class-54-6-diag--led-2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-with-high-dynamic-range-black/4804403.p?skuId=4804403 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-55-class-54-6-diag--2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-with-high-dynamic-range-black/4801600.p?skuId=4801600&cmp=RMX
  3. So i'm looking to get a new tv in a month or so. Primary purpose for this tv is gaming (on PS4 Pro maybe) and YouTube/streaming services. 4K content isn't as common as 1080p. Does the image look 'bad'? For lack of a better word. I'm waiting until Horizon Zero Dawn comes out. I can't decide if 4k is worth the upgrade (as opposed to a high end 1080p screen) now or wait until say the next console generation comes out.
  4. I've been thinking about upgrading to the Pro by the time Horizon Zero Dawn comes out. At that point, I'll have enough for a decent 4k tv as well. I've also been thinking about upgrading to a 2tb or SSD drive. However, i'm not sure what the pro supports or what to look for in that
  5. Coming from a console perspective in visuals, is 4k at medium settings still better then 4k PS4Pro though? If I use RX 480/intel core i5 6500 for "heavy" titles? Heavy titles being The Witcher 3 or upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda, as examples?
  6. The cheapest GTX 1080 is around $600USD. I understand that that there are cheaper 4k alternatives for PC. Like the AMD RX 480 8gb at around $250. For the 4k machine that I would want it would be minimum $1000. That price is just for the PS4Pro/4k alternative (all my games/progress are on PS4). For the PC price I would need a keyboard, mice and monitor as this is a build from scratch. I did the math for both options and getting a 4k capable gaming PC would be a little bit "cheaper." I would need/want to get a new tv stand that holds a 50inch screen, mine can only hold a 32inch (the cheapest 50inch stand was around $100). I also would be interested in getting that ps4 platinum 7.1 headset when it comes out. I suppose what I'm asking is that does 4k really make a difference in visual quality?
  7. This is kinda the idea, however I (as I've said) don't plan to overclock. I want familiarize myself with the hardware/games first before overclocking anything. The reason for the original storage decision was that I don't plan on having a lot of games installed because I delete them when I'm finished with them or support with them is done. Unless modding takes up a lot of space, then i'm happy with the storage that I choose. You can apparently hold a lot of games on a 1tb HDD anyway. My research suggests anywhere between 200-270 as gaming is the primary focus with this.
  8. Well, regarding the mouse pads, I was thinking that being on a wooden desk it might scratch the keyboard/mouse in some capacity. I also want to be comfortable hence the wrist mouse pad. I don't want to overclock just yet though, maybe next build. However that build is going to be long while. I want this particular build to last minimum of five+ years.
  9. So, here is my build so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/YPnZFd. I've been doing some research and the top of the line 4k cards (i'm new to pc building anc pc gaming in general so correct if wrong) struggle to hit 40 fps let alone 60fps. The 1080 can do it, but it'll put me over budget. Here are some goals with this build: being able to play Skryim, with heavy mod use, to be able to play BF1 at 60 fps or any game in general. To achieve this, any resolution would suffice, however higher would be appreciated. Also, this build is in preparation for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I'm willing to wait to say next year if 4k becomes cheaper. My budget is $1200-1600USD.
  10. I'm not planning to overclock, however I'd like to have the option of either having a geforce card or an amd card in the future. Or the ability of adding multiple graphics cards in the future (if I want to). I don't want to overclock my first build, i'm fearful of something bad happening. I'm not familiar with those motherboards (hell pc building in general).
