  1. I'm using Be Quiet's Dark Rock 3 (NOT the Pro), which is rated by them at 190W (the stock CPU is rated at 95W). It should be noted that I replaced the fan with a Corsair SP120 High Performance on a resistor to make it quieter. I tested with the resistor removed and the temps dropped only about 5C, but it got a whole lot louder so I put it back in. I've been using Prime95 and I guess since it's ridiculously overkill, to get it to run smoothly I bumped the voltage up to 1.425 with a +0.25 offset. It's a lot, I know. Any suggestions for a better CPU test would be much appreciated so I can lower the bar for stability and voltages. After y'all's comments and thinking about what the machine does I won't be delidding.
  2. I recently overclocked my 6600k to 4.6ghz and the difference in temperatures between my second and third cores (the coldest and hottest, respectively) grew to over 10C. The hotter of the two will get up to 87C under Prime95's small FFT test while the cooler one only gets to 75C. I don't do any rendering ... yet (I'll be doing a bunch for college in a few years, but by then I hope to have one of Ryzen's second gen CPUs). The machine only does gaming, writing papers, and internet browsing right now. Anyway I'm just wondering if that difference in thermals could somehow cause damage because of uneven heating across the chip and if it would be worth the effort and time to delid it. It would be nice if it ran cooler....
  3. Couldn't tell you off the top of my head and I don't want to crack open the case rn sooo... I'll look at it tomorrow I guess. If it's 3-pin I'll need a fan controller to do that right? Or is it called a fan hub?
  4. All-in-one so you can't get in. I really like mine it's got a little bit of headroom for overclock on my i5 6600k but I'm prolly just gonna jump up to the H100 when I need to OC in the future
  5. Without looking into specs at all, I thought the Phantom looked cooler for me
  6. Does anyone have experience with SpeedFan not picking up any fans? It's reading temps just fine for me, but no fans are to be found. Did I miss a step somewhere being the newcomer I am or something?
  7. GTX 1060 -> 2x Titan XP SLI, right? Depends on the melting point of silicon.
  8. I'm pulling 2.0-2.05 GHz at 70C max with mine as I type. If I push much farther graphics glitch out but don't cook the card. You tell me if that's up to par with the FTW. I've got mine running in a Corsair Air 240 with an AF120 blowing right at it from the front and two 80mm exhausting right above it so it's pretty vented. Even before I OC'd I was getting solid 60fps at ultra on Doom at 1080p, which is what I assume you'd be doing with your 1060. On a side note, don't forget to grab your free PowerLink from EVGA's website as a 10 series owner!!!
  9. I think I remember seeing one of those 'Top 5' lists including the NCASE M1, but one of the main drawbacks was that it cannot support a full 240mm all-in-one rad on that bracket. I did however hear from an iffy review of the Cougar that 'it might' fit one, but I haven't seen one installed anywhere.
  10. Has anyone been able to find a good review for the Cougar QBX KAZE review ... in English? It looks like a pretty swell case and all, but I can't seem to find a good review that I can understand. I have a link to the official site below which, I admit, is in English but it's the manufacturer's words, not customers'. Maybe if a good review doesn't exist, Linus could jump on it?......maybe? http://cougargaming.com/products/cases/qbxkaze/
