If I could get my hands on a driver I could load it into a new install media but I have been unable to locate one, If this is indeed my problem then im SOL unless there is a place I can get the correct driver from. I was really hoping the answer was something other than that and I'm just missing some crucial detail.
  3. Ive looked into that but cant seem to find a driver for it, Neither Asrock or WD have one that I can find on their website.... It is currently my working theory though...
  4. Hello Guys, As the topic says I'm running into an issue installing Windows 7 on an M.2 SSD. I was able to run the installer just fine and when it did its reboot the system attempts to load into windows and then I get a quick flash of a BSOD and then it reboots and goes into the options for booting into safe mode and such. An attempt to load into safe mode loads the core drivers but hangs at loading disks.sys and then the same flash BSOD and reboot. I have attempted 3 separate installs with 2 different install media one on a disc and the other downloaded from MS and loaded onto a USB both with the same result. I'm at the end of my rope and really hope anyone on here might have some insight. SPECS: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16GB RAM Asrock B550m PRO4 RTX 2070 WD Greed M.2 2280 SSD 240GB EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze PSU I don't have a log file for the BSOD error and would happily provide it if I knew a way to access those logs without booting into Windows.   5. One would think if it were a real product you would see it in use for modern electronics or at least advertised as a service that a retailer or manufacturer would offer. For people in the business of making money off other peoples accidents or fear of accidents this would be a brilliant opportunity.
  6. It would definitely be a bit of work but it could be worth it. If for example I were to build a phase change cooled desktop I would undoubtedly use this product as well as several other precautions to protect my valuable components.
  7. I realize mechanical components like optical drives or traditional HDD's couldn't be protected with this product as it would effectively make them useless however all non mechanical components like the motherboard, CPU, GPU, power supply, RAM, and SSD could all potentially be protected.
  8. I work in a retail environment, We repair literally hundreds of computers every month and I see a lot of units with water or liquid damage. The point of the post isn't to debate weather or not the idea is practical or even cost effective. I simply wanted to know is this a real product and if so would it be possible to use it to make any computer impervious to the potential threat of water damage.
  9. Clearly you have never worked in technology or you have never seen a situation where a person spilled liquid on a laptop...
  10. Think about laptops where accidents can happen or desktops using extreme cooling systems where leaks or condensation can cause damage.
  11. Nanoprotech is it real and more importantly could one use it to build a waterproof pc (minus mechanical components). http://www.nanoprotech.org
