  1. I keep trying to redeem it and it says the serial number I've entered is wrong. Guess I'll have to contact Asus regarding this.
  2. What's the difference between these two cards? Asus STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING and Asus ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to redeem my free Assassins Creed Origins code that I got when purchasing the STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING. When I go to redeem the code on Asus' website, it asks me to select the GPU model from a dropdown list, of which only the ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING (along with other ROG tagged cards) is available to select. Every time I submit the code on the code redeeming page, it says that the serial number for my card is incorrect. When I run the serial number on Asus' website, it returns the product model as STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING. Would this be the reason that the redemption is not working? Is there a difference between the 2 cards?
  3. That's a good idea. I was going to do that at first, but I thought that the ventilation at the front of my case would be too limited (Corsair 400C). I will try it out... Thanks, again.
  4. Thanks for letting me know. I have them setup as exhaust fans as well. How much of a difference did it make when you reversed the direction of the fans? Any noticeable temperature changes?
  5. Not sure if I should be concerned or not... My brand new Corsair H100i V2 included SP120L fans are making a rattling sound when I push the power up to about 89% (2500rpm). The radiator, with the fans (obviously), is mounted at the top of my case. Is this a known issue with these fans? I've tried tightening the mounting screws as well as giving it the good ol' bashing a few times and the rattling does not stop. Would you recommend that I get 2 new fans for the radiator? What would you guys recommend? Thanks.
  6. That's pretty darn good. My 6700K at stock speed with my AIO cooler is idling at about 27.
  7. What is the power rating for your PSU? It could be that your build is drawing too much power... Especially with the 6 case fans that you mentioned. Try disconnecting all the fans?
  8. I've read mostly good things about the VG248QE. The only negative things I've read is that the color is "bland"... But apparently you can adjust the color profiles to make it look excellent and there are forum members that actually released their settings for the best color. I actually just bought the VG278HE which is very similar with a 27" screen (except that it has 2ms response time and the resolution scale is a bit worse) and I absolutely love it! The 144Hz is something that cannot be described in words... I would go for the Asus.
  9. Okay, so I've decided to start blogging about my new PC endeavours and I thought I'd do so through the amazing community that has helped and encouraged me to take on new challenges in the PC and gaming universe - LinusTechTips.

First on the list of many things is to overclock my 6700K.
