New Tongfang models launched by Illegear today. Probably the first reseller in the world who offer them. Exact model numbers still unknown.

    Onyx Pro
successor of GK5-Z: no more mech kb, no more Max-Q for 2070, 240Hz or 4K OLED, nosecam+IR, reduced weight (1.55kg?!), 18mm thin

    Selenite Pro
successor of GK7-S: no more mech kb, 92Wh battery without 2.5 inch slot (sharing similar internal layout to QC71?🤔), optional 240Hz, TB3, nosecam+IR, reduced weight (2kg?!), 19mm thin

Worst case: no audio if installed driver from Windows Update, even with fresh Windows installation. Updating drivers won't work, requires uninstall. Oh yeah, did I mentioned that uninstalling with device manager sometimes will not work?

Lenovo still haven't learnt since Y520 I guess. Terrible drivers. Hope the Y540 did better

Don't let the number of heatpipes fool you: GE65 has worse CPU thermals compared to Y540 (if compared to my own database). Can't even cool 45w CPU heat with 50dBA auto fan speed. Even with max fan speed, the result is still worse than Y540 with lower max fan speed since it can cool 50w of CPU heat at around the same temp. GPU temp is better though despite using 90w variant, though this is kinda expected since it has 2070 option as well

I do not care for laptop speakers because I prefer having the sound closer to me via headphones as it's far better for monitoring audio and also gives me some degree of privacy.

Know why the 3500U performs better than 8250U in this model (Flex 14 / C340-14API)? The 3500U is configured with 25W long power limit while the 8250U is configured with typical 15W. This will vary between laptop models. Also, I think the power consumption figure for 3500U is wrong.

And is this model good? Decent.
