There's a PS5 game I wanna buy that is significantly cheaper on a key website, but it can only be activated in Europe. Can I use a VPN to bypass this? I tried googling for this answer but I couldn't get a clear yes or no.

@PackYourBaggins Here is a good review that will show you what games and software benefit from the E cores.

This is new technology. It always takes programmers a while to fully take advantage of any new hardware.

PackYourBaggins got a reaction from Azileo in Battlefield 2042 beta had too much stutter
It's true that the game isn't optimized well. I'm on an i7 4770K + 1080 Ti. I play games at 1440p with my PC, but for BF2042, I dropped my resolution to 1080p with all graphical settings as low as they could go, and I still get drops down to as low as 40 FPS. Granted, my CPU is 7 years old, and I think I would benefit greatly in newer games like BF2042 if I had a newer one. Regardless of that though, optimization is still a definite issue.

And this should add to your confidence as well. Not that most people need the power but it's just a  good way to show the difference in quality. Also my e10k is currently broken after a year of use while my liquid spark is alive and well so there's that as well.

Most likely. But either way, I'm still satisfied, and I'm now confident in the purchase I made.

This lets me breath a lot easier. After using this amp/headphone combo now for a few hours, I'm definitely satisfied with the sound. Apparently the Spark also has a break-in period of about 100 hours according to the instruction booklet that came with it, so the sound will only improve as well. Lucky me that someone on here actually owns both of these amps. Thank you for your response!

PackYourBaggins got a reaction from Phaser in Logitech Pro X "Not connected" in G Hub software
My Logitech Pro X headset just arrived today, and it sounds outstanding, but I was hoping to tweak the sounds settings a little using the G Hub software. However, the software says my Pro X isn't connected even though it certainly is. It's connected via USB using the little dongle that was included. I'm not sure what to try. I tried reinstalling the software, and rebooting, but that didn't seem to work.

I don't know if this helps any, but in Windows, it's showing my headset as being speakers. I'll leave photos attached to the post.

I'll clarify before providing a recommendation.

Many smartwatches work with Android, even if they don't run Android.  Samsung's watches run an OS called Tizen, for example.  However, Google also has its own Android-based platform for smartwatches, known as Wear OS.  While it works best on Android, you can actually use a Wear OS watch with an iPhone as long as you're willing to accept certain limitations.

If you expect to keep using Samsung phones, the Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Watch Active is your best bet for both the tight integration and some good design choices.  If not that, it depends on what your goals are.  The Fitbit Versa is a good choice if you're mainly interested in fitness tracking.  You have quite a few choices if you want to try Wear OS, although I'd lean toward newer Fossil group watches like the Skagen Falster 2.

PackYourBaggins got a reaction from iHomer in Would acrylic windows still be ok for RGB?
So I'm putting together an RGB build soon, and I'm having some trouble picking a case. I've heard some people say tempered glass is the best option to show off RGB in the case, but is acrylic really that bad compared to tempered glass?

Here's my dilemma: I was sure I wanted the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (Tempered glass) but after thinking on it for a while, I realized that it has a closed off front panel, and I wouldn't see any of my RGB fans that are mounted in the front. After looking a bit today, the Corsair 570X drew a bit of interest from me for obvious reasons, but it's a mid tower. I originally opted for the Enthoo Luxe cause it was a full tower. I then came across the Corsair 750D Airflow Edition, which is a big, full tower case, and in the front, there's an opening where you can see 2 of the front fans, but the only drawback is that the side panel windows is acrylic.

It'd be an easy decision if the 750D AFE had a tempered glass side-panel, but I find myself pretty conflicted. Would it really look that much worse if I had a case with an acrylic window for an RGB build?

PackYourBaggins reacted to Airdragonz in Questions about RGB.
Question 1: In this case, yes. You should be able to connect the RGB cooler from to your motherboard header, so long as the RGB connector is not a proprietary one. Everything you have can be controlled via the Asus Aura windows 10 application
Question 2: Fans will all work, no matter the brand as long as you are powering them. The RGB, however, might not. Some fan RGB have proprietary connectors that need special hubs (see Corsair LL series or NZXT Hue+ for examples). Other fans might use the standard 4-pin RGB header that can be found on most motherboards. From experience, most Cooler Master fans are the latter: you should be able to plug them into your motherboard without any issue.
Have fun and good luck with the build!

Here is an aftermarket 1080 Ti for $700:

Versus a $550 1080 I would probably get the 1080 Ti, considering you'd be paying 27% more for 28% more performance at 1440p with both at reference clocks (according to the techpowerup benchmark in the 1080 Ti review). But why do you want a $550 GTX 1080 when there are lots of good 1080s for $500? At that point the 1080 Ti is 40% more expensive for 28% more performance.

    @RelentlessN7
As someone who has played all of them (at least partially) here's how I'd go about it.

    1st Game: Link's Awakening
My personal favourite and also a good place to start. It has some of the best characters and by far the best music IMO. And I'm not saying that out of nostalgia because despite owning a GameBoy and SNES as a kid I never played a Zelda game until Twilight Princess. So that's a thing. Anyways, it has a lot of personality and in many respects isn't typical of a Zelda game. I also think it is probably a good idea to start with one of the 2D games. And unlike the earlier 2D games, and in particular the NES ones, Link's Awakening is fairly linear. Which is probably a good place to start.

2nd Game: Ocarina of Time 3D
You have to play this next if only for the fact that the Zelda timeline, for what it's worth, leans heavily on this game. I don't want to drop any spoilers but I think it's fair to say that most Zelda games released since then have quite a few references to Ocarina of Time. I don't know how much of this is actually spoilers but.....
    3rd Game: Wind Waker HD:
Personally it's my favourite 3D Zelda game and the HD remaster is the way to play it. I first played it on the Wii U and at the time it was the only Zelda I had not played at least partially. I left one of the best ones till last. Also ontop of being just pretty good in general it does tie into some of the other games. The DS games basically follow on from Wind Waker so it's probably best to play Wind Waker before them.

    4th Game: Doesn't matter
Really, beyond that I don't think it matters what you play next at all. Go down the list of Zelda games and find something that lines up with one of the three above that you liked the most. Start from there. Also don't discount the Wii and DS Zeldas just because people have bad memories of those systems. Those games might not be on the top of the list but they were still great entries into the series. Quite frankly I don't think any of the Zelda games are bad so you can't go too wrong. Just.... maybe avoid Tri Force Heroes given that it only works as a multiplayer game
