  1. You can refer to this thread for more clarity on this: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1225873-4000mhz-cl18-vs-3600mhz-cl16/. For the RAM kit, it depends on what you're looking for honestly. Judging by your parts, if I had to buy one I would go for the Trident Z Neo series of RAM kits as the Neo series is supped to be optimized for Ryzen and they look really good (I've been using the Trident Z series of RAM for about 3 years now). You should watch this video by Gamers Nexus on what's the best RAM for Ryzen for more insight on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IY_KlkQK1Q&feature=emb_title
  2. I was looking to buy a new laptop and did some research on my own but I would love your suggestions. My primary use case is coding and light video editing. Battery life and portability should be the main focus along with a good, color accurate display. A 4k or touch display isn't a necessity. Also, Is it a good idea to wait for a few months for the Ryzen laptops to come out? My budget is around US $1400. Thanks a lot for your time!
  3. Let's all take a moment and appreciate all the CPUs and GPUs that have been running 24/7 for the past 14 days or even more. Cheers to everyone who participated!
  4. @GOTSpectrum take care of yourself mate. You've been working really hard since this event started and you don't have to apologize for anything. Thanks for doing all the hard work.
  5. For that config, the stock cooler is fine. If you're gonna overclock, then you might wanna look into a better air cooler but don't go for liquid coolers. The cooling performance is almost the same, yet is more expensive than air coolers. I personally have a kraken x62 from NZXT and although it looks cool and all, I now kinda regret buying it as after only two years, I am already facing problems with the pump. I've contacted NZXT so let's see how that goes. There are just more points of failure with a liquid cooler; the pump, the fans, potential leakage whereas with air cooler only point of failure is just the fan, which can easily be replaced in the rare chance it does fail.
  6. I don't think disk cloning allows you to select individual files, and even if it does, I would advice against it as some files maybe important for Windows and if you accidentally skip them, then the cloned windows might just not boot or just crash upon boot. One thing you can do is to get an external drive from a friend, and then copy all the personal files to the external drive and then delete them from the primary drive( the one that you will be using for cloning) , perform a clone to the SSD, check if the cloned windows is working properly, format the primary drive and then move all the files from the external to the primary drive
  7. I think a better way to do it would be to clone the HDD to the SSD and then just deleting the personal files from the SSD
  8. If you are talking about completely moving all the games from one drive to another, then yes it is possible. You basically have to clone your source drive to the new destination drive. You can use Macrium Reflect for that as it is free and I've used it multiple times. But if you're taking about cloning games to another drive which already has some games installed, then I don't think it's possible as Macrium will completely format the destination drive. You can this video from Jayztwocents for more information.
  9. Use Macrium Reflect. It is free to use and works really well. I've used it multiple times. And as @r2724r16 said, you can clone Windows as well from you old drive, including all the partitions and everything.
  10. I've never done a multi GPU setup so can you guys answer a few doubts that I have? I am currently using a GTX 1080 for folding but I had a 750Ti lying around and would like to use that for folding. 1) After installing the 750Ti, do I need to install drivers for it separately or the drivers for the 1080 will do? 2) How do I add the GPU to the folding client?
