Well, what are the specs of your computer (besides the 1050 Ti)?

Unwieldly xbox 360 controller? It's tiny AF...

And creating a custom shell for a controller is not easy. Not only to get the fit right, but also the material and rigidity.

is the dish connection set up with a static wifi address (same for the wifi address on the shop wifi router) could be seperate subnets causing problems?

Boot it up with just the nvidia card installed, then run DDU and shut down. Replace the card with the amd card, then install the proper driver. Hopefully works then. Also, when you go back to the nvidia card, run DDU again and then reinstall it's driver.

in my experience, these round power connectors are the first thing to go dodgy on HDD enclosures either way so i'd go with a new enclosure anyways

Lenovo ThinkPad or Dell Latitude gets my vote. Grab an older model that's not an ultrabook for upgradability.

32bit by 384hz - that is the resolution of the DAC and 122db is the dynamic range

i say you will need some pretty high end speakers and golden ears to hear a difference between this and a similar quality 24bit 192kHz soundcard.

there are other facrots that are way more important than bits and kilohertz to make a soundcard sound good or bad - distortion and noise ratio for example.

fine then - let's start with speakers. how about a pair of Siltech Pantheon XXV
    for just $125000 a pair

if you wanna spend more (like 2x more) you could get some some moon audio titan speakers.

    good enough ?

50Cº on stressing is a desirable temperature every thing seems to be functioning well, the heatsink being cold is a god signal if it was hot that'd mean the CPU was on 100Cº and then you'd have an actual issue.

then why don't you do it? there's no excuse not to start right now. any smartphone that isn't a full-on potato can do good enough video to get started. editing software can be had for free (i use shotcut because it is free and multiplatform and all that). some cheap lights may be a good idea.

except when the power strip you are using can't even handle 10A - then the breaker will not trip but you might smell something burning after a while. totally happened to me once.

VNC is a popular Go-to app, but beware of the security implications of running unencrypted VNC.  There are ways to encrypt VNC.

RDP is much better on supported OS due to native UI handling, it feels snappier.

KenjiUmino got a reaction from Crunchy Dragon in 771 xeon does not boot OS
771 was a server socket - so it might be hard to find non-xeon CPUs for it.

the only 771 CPU mentioned on wikipedia that is not a xeon is the Core 2 Extreme QX9775.

i'd say that is a myth. why exactly should they not? i have not noticed a difference - that is - if it's at the same architecture and clock speed

KenjiUmino reacted to GilmourD in XLR mic issue
By "plugged into my MOBO directly" you mean into the microphone in on your integrated sound?

    Yeah... No.

XLR microphones are balanced low-impedance devices. The microphone in on the board is expecting an unbalanced high-impedance signal. Hence your noise and volume issues.

If you want to use an XLR mic you need an audio interface with microphone preamps. There's lots of them out there that connect to USB, Firewire, and Thunderbolt. The USB ones are relatively inexpensive compared to the other interface types and, honestly, it would take a whole lot of simultaneous channel inputs to saturate even USB 2.0 with audio.

The one I use for all my audio recording (guitar, bass, and vocals for music as well as for my radio show) is the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD. It has four XLR inputs. I have a feeling that might be overkill for you, though. I also have the UMC202HD for my on-the-run setup.

Search for UMC202HD using the LTT Amazon link (wherever the heck that thread is) and you'll find it for $59.99. Or you can buy it straight from Behringer, too, off their website, or Adorama, or a whole bunch of other sites.

also a classic: an update that sits at 35% all night and has not gained a single % when you come back to it next morning. but don't even THINK of pushing that reset button.
