  1. I got a pcie wifi card and after i mounted the exstension cable for the wifi antenna and moved it to the desk facing the antenna against the router then i got my high download speed again. But its sound like thats not the case for you, It sound like a software issue. Try disable anthing that u think might interupt, like firewall etc Have you tried more then one "download speed test" ? Cause i notice a diffrens between them, just to ensure thats you infact can get the speed your paying for.
  2. True, im eager to see those benchmarks with 3000 series cards and then take it from there
  3. I actually leaning towards buying a gpu sooner and then wait for new mobo and cpu. But im thinking, do i really need a 3000 series gpu when my target is over 100 fps 1440p, If i can keep that fps for a couple of year im fine with that. And instead buy a 2080 ti for a good price soon when everybody wants the 3000 series?
  4. Had same issue couple days ago, had to reinstall the drivers for the card, even that win 10 i doing it automatic. Try that first. And make sure your wifi antenna are tuned in correctly, make a huge diffrens!
  5. True! But that new 3000 gpus gonna bottleneck the shit out of my 4790k, and considuring that i cant OC more then 4,6 and thats with no thermal throtlle. The reason why i wanna upgrade is because i experiance dips in fps(stutter) and wierd crashes that i cant relate to something more the mobo possebli. Maby just best to like what i got and wait
  6. Hi folks! So im having a bit of a choice to make, what should i upgrade to? I have i7 4790k z-97 pro gamer mobo 16gb ram corsair gtx 1080 144hertz 1440p monitor My goal is to have a smooth gaming experiance atleast over 100 fps. I thinking of upgrading my cpu first and then later on gpu, most lilkey a gtx 2080 ti or rtx 3070. Depending on how the market looks after the realese. Maby i7 9700k, but how long will it last(handle triple A game). Maby dumb? Let me know your thoughts please!
  7. Hmm the thing that burns is that i was super careful but still ended up destroying the thing...make me wonder if i dare to do it to my desktop....my idle temps on my 4790k is 50 C with watercooling(80-85C on game load) and delidding was my last resort to fix those high temps. Yea you must be a lucka bastard haha You got any good ideas if a dont dare to delidd my real rig to fix those temp? Im thinking about to buy a new chip and cross my fingers on the silicon lottery but they are expensive
  8. So i had one spare and desyded to try and see how much Celcius drop i could get in it and if i wanted to do it on my deskop with an 4790k. But here's the thing...i chip a tiny tiny bit on the edge(the green materia on the top side) cause the IHS just would't wanna let go. Its really tiny and cant see any damage to vital components When all was done it doesnt bot and no keyboard or mouse light up...i quess its dead dead but did i damage my mobo in the process??
  9. Yea i hope so to, alot of new stuff bought but havent gotten anthing for it, so gonna be quite pissed if they dont, I cross my fingers and hoping for the best
  10. Yeap and yeap, its dead....somehow possible the card i bought( it was returned from a costumer) was not put back together properly at the check they do before the sell it again soo i fried the gpu on it.... Hopfully they understand what happend and give me money back so i can buy a new 980 and hdd...not having the best of day atm Thats why the pc restarted att first sli benchmark i quess, but cant understand why the psu and hard drive acted wierd at the same time
  11. One works the other is fried because the cooler wasent installed corretly so the cards cpu got overheated but still dont know why the got damn HDD died aswell
  12. My card is fried, tryed it at at friend in his 3 pcie but no picture so i quess the corsair psu creatade a high volt spike and fried both the grafic card and The hdd when it crashed at load....thats my conclossion....does it sound right? Logical??
  13. Ok its done, no drivers are installed to gpu atm and only the good card is in pcie 1 and The other monitor is plugged in to mobo, but i dont get any pic on that monitor only on the other monitor thrue the gpu as "basic display driver" Just reinstall and set up sec card for sli?
