  1. Hello community! As you can see in the title i am quite inexperienced in building a new pc. I already made on on pcpartpickers but since im not sure it actually runs (and has the right specs), i'd like to hear your opinion about it . After this form i found on the forum i will give you the link to the partpickers as well as a reasoning why i think these parts are the right ones! 1. Budget & Location I live in germany and my budget should be around 1500 €. I ncan go up to 1800€ if necessary though. 2. Aim I want the PC to be Highend because i want to run the latest games wiht it (even in the near future). Also i need it to render/capture videos. 3. Monitors Im using a 60Hz full HD monitor right now. But i plan on upgrading to anotherone (preferably 4k) in about half a year. This should be considerated, but not included in the buylist! 4. Peripherals I dont need any new peripheraqls since im happy with the ones im using right now. I also dont need an OS because i still have a spare windows 10 lying around here. 5. Why are you upgrading? Im upgrading because my old PC died yesterday (had many problems withit the last few weeks and its definetly dead now ). So here is the link to the build that i think should work fine: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/y3JRVY Why i chose the parts: CPU: i need a beefy CPU for highend gaming as well as the video rendering. From what i heard in reviews, this cpu should be in the cost/power sweetspot CPU cooler: Choosen because of the reviews. I dont know much about how the cooling works but i do know that i rather use air cooling than liquid cooling. motherboard: again chosen because of the reviews. im aware of the sound problem some people have but since im using a headset anyway i shouldnt run into problems (or am i wrong there?) Memory: Well that was just pure guessing. Having 16 gigs of ram felt like it would be enough; 8 gigs seemed like a bit too low (again, your opinions are greatly appreciated!) Storage: SSD only for the operating system; harddrive since i need the space for the game/video files. the brand was totally random; also having a 2TB SSD is unnecesary imo. GPU: Yes, having a 1080 seems to be quite some overkill right now (especially with the monitor im running), but since i plan on not upgrading as long as possible (even if it means scaling down video quality in newer games) it should be the right choice here. But again, having to search trough all the different brands that are offering the 1080 by myself would have been a wste of time. So again, im relying on your experience/reccomendation here Case: i chose that one again because of the reviews. also i dont care about the cases looks at all since the pc will be hiding below my desk and only the front panel will be visible. Since i only have limited space it should only be 29 cm wide, 60 cm long and 50 cm high. The front usbport is quite important for me though so i dont want to get rid of that PSU: again, a review based pick. But i also want one with quite a high efficiency rating. Optical drive: well i guess you cant go that wrong on optical drives....i may need it once a month, so as long as it can read cds im happy with it I still have some questions though: -case fans: if i use the case that i listed aboth, will i be able to/ will i have to use case fans? If i do so, how many? Havent seen a statement about them in any review so im kinda curious. -PSU: is it definetly compatible with the system or should i go for a higher wtt count? So i guess thts it from me. if you have any further questions feel free to post them. i wont be ble to comment withing the next 12 hours though so responding might take a while Still, thanks in advance for any helpfull insight/information you can give me! Have a nice week, Patrick
