I added a SMSL M400 DAC, started using a desktop PC to play music and got high resolution audio files for the music I want. Also, added a Dayton Audio Sub.

The system sounds great now 😀

    Thank you all for replying.

Actually most smartphones are sporting 2x2 MIMO or MU-MIMO antennas nowadays. Samsung has had 2x2 MU-MIMO from the S5 to current s7 models.Microsoft, Google OPPO, ZTE and LG also have it on their phones to name a few.  (Some phones even sport 4x4 MU-MIMO antennas.) Not sure about spatial streams but assuming 2 that would mean 2x2x2. Ac1750 should be able, assuming MCS-9 (modulation and coding scheme 9= 256QAM and 5/6 coding rate, with channels 40,80 or 160MHz wide and a 800 or 400ns guard interval) and 2 spatial streams (possible with MU-MIMO 2x2) to provide between 360 and 1733 Mbps. (Halve those numbers for one spatial stream at MCS-9)

Now that won't speed up your WAN connection....so 30Mbps or about 3.4MB per second should be your speed limit when downloading from the internet.

This does not take into account any interference due to neighbors lousy old 802.11a wifi router, interference due to radar or non-802.11 5GHz devices or other wifi channel congestion or interference or physical interference (walls, stucco, concrete, trees etc)  and the throughput is the theoretical maximum.

Suffice to say it's unlikely your wifi will be the bottleneck in your network. More likely your internet connection will be your bottleneck.

thanks dude. i found this based on your post and it worked .

Xbox one controller works flawlessly, even in the menu, if you use x360ce. Download the 32bits version ( google it), copy x360ce.exe in the game folder. Open x360ce.exe with your xbox one controller plugged in. It should configure itself automatically. I got it working by doing this: Select Game Settings Tab --> pick SplitSecond.exe --> under Hook Mask check these options: COM; LL; DI; PIDVID (this should do the same thing as InputHook set to 2 in older versions of x360ce); Xinput file set to 1.3 32bit

A quick search suggests poor coding resulting in variable controller support. Among the search results was this https://www.rewasd.com/community/config/split-second-controller-layout/baaf78dff816e372ad654a210d910a0f

Nobody's assuming anything He's just mentioning there's a big difference between common "cheap" speakers and actual high end audio speakers. For all we know your "Bose system" (name doesn't always mean quality) sounds terrible.

Klipsch are known to be bright (or harsh as you say) on the treble. You can try EQing the treble down, but in the end some speakers will have a certain sound to them. That's why people often recommend to listen to them if you can before buying.

You can try and "mask" the highs with a pre-amp however as @tikker stated above, speakers have their own unique characteristics to them. Either trying before buying or going to shops and listening is your best bet. Next in line is to do as much research as you can.

Now that you know how those sound, you can try to find some graphs and reviews of what people say about them and look for other speakers with a little less treble.

    Hi Forum,,

I have an old Motorola surfboard modem DOCSIS 3.0. Can I install Linux on it and then run Pi-Hole (the network wide ad-blocker)

AC1750 usually just means there are 2 or more WiFi bands, and their sum is 170 mbps. You won't really see a difference

Probably not, unless you are using a really old crappy router

Usually not, actual download and upload speeds are mostly from your ISP. Pay more for faster up/down speeds etc. If you are using your ISP's modem or cable modem you could always request for updated equipment.

The rx 460 would be a newer option as it doesn't need any additional power other than the 75w from the pcie.

I have this same PC in my house with a A10-6700 and a generic 300watt PSU

the max i would suggest for this PSU is EVGA's low TDP GTX 950 (this card doesnt need a 6pin)

EDIT: rx460 also a good option as long as it doesnt have a 6pin for power
