  1. That's not true. Most games don't really make much use of hexacores. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3423-intel-i7-7700k-revisit-benchmark-vs-9700k-2700-9900k We see the humbled 7700K in roughly the middle of the pack of higher core count chips. The trend is that the chips that perform significantly better are those that clock higher, have seen refinements to memory subsystems, and have more cache. Both my 5930K and 9750H systems idle anywhere from 2 to 24%. The upper end being caused by Windows processes.
  2. There have been games that use more than 4 cores for awhile. But for a long time, the benefit was minimal. For the games themselves, it still is outside of edge cases like Far Cry 5 (which does whatever the fuck it wants). The main perk is background tasks not interfering with the game.
  3. 10mm 1911s sometimes have issues cracking frames (watch Forgotten Weapon’s videos on 10mm 1911’s), and 9mm can have feed issues (because the frame and magwell are made for the longer .45ACP cartridge). But 9mm Kurz 1911s are made specifically for 9mm Kurz. Most handguns not initially chambered for 10mm have issues with that caliber, actually. I think Glock fixed that with the gen 5 handguns.
  4. Grip angle and bore axis affect recoil heavily. Springfield and Rock Island have both served me great, when chambered for 45ACP.
  5. The only thing that feels wrong about my 9mm 1911 is that rounds nose dive if I have more than 8 rounds in the mag, defeating the main purpose of a 9mm 1911.
  6. 1911s also come in 9mm Luger and 9mm Kurz. My first 1911 was a 9mm Luger.
  7. If you want a heavyish semi auto, look at a 1911. The steel frame will have more heft than the polymer frame Glock or aluminum frame Beretta. But muzzle flip and keeping the sights aligned is pretty easy with my G19.
  8. Not even emphasize. Just being able to understand, counter, clarify, and build upon the points made by those who disagree with you. Instead of running around in a circle of "Fuck you!"
  9. So? It’s still an anecdote. It’s irrelevant to the conversation as your anecdote revolves around a released game and the questions asked were basic in game stats. These games are not yet released AND the question of why game content was ‘cut’ isn’t going to be in the game code. Creatures Inc could have easily created new models that are similar to the old ones, or ultimately not used (for a variety of reasons) in the upcoming games. Data mining wouldn’t be able to tell us that.
  10. Your anecdotal is irrelevant. People CLAIMED that. Doesn’t mean jack shit until we can actually verify that. Actually, still doesn’t mean shit. We don’t have access to every detail of the model development in Sword and Shield.
  11. I wouldn't want my '17 MBP 15" on my lap for either of those things. So anything running the hotter running hexa and octacores offered now is going to be a no go for me.
  12. I'd put the high end thin and lights from Dell and HP above Apple, and if we step outside of thin and lights, I'd rank MSI higher as well.
  13. I wouldn't consider Apple the gold standard.
  14. You're not going to be able to datamine the preload package. Until the 15th, it's a 10.3GB locked folder that's unavailable to users. Trying to access the eShop from a jailbroken switch results in a ban, and jailbreaking a switch with the game on it wipes out the game. With stock software, you're getting nowhere near the game code.
  15. The UK plug (and just about everything else UK) is superior in only one way: Being absolutely inferior.
  16. Fallout 76's issues did affect sales and the reputation of Bethesda and the franchise. Most of the "issues" are non-issues that the counterculture wants to be real, and what few legitimate issues it has are usually limited to a single release. And that's completely ignoring Sledge Hammer's performance. No, don't talk about speculation as if it were fact and condemn/condone the devs when all that is available is speculation.
  17. That, so far, the supposed issue seems to be used almost exclusively as an excuse to bash the new games, and that only a small portion of the potential audience really cares, and an even smaller portion will care enough to affect their buying decision.
  18. I understand. I. Just. Don't. Care. And the chances are, most people don't. Assuming that the speculation based upon iffy leaks is correct.
  19. Not out of the box, but the GS Stealth 17" laptops have 3 M.2 slots,2 NVMe and 1 SATA, so one can get up there. The Alienware Area 51M has 2 NVMe M.2 slots and a standard SATA slot. Ignoring full on desktop replacements like the Area 51M, most 17" laptops are roughly the same size, same for 15" laptops (except the XPS15), and third party cases will either be model specific or ensure the case/bag fits most laptops of the class in the market. But yes, laptop sizes are classified by their screens. Not their bodies. Hence why the XPS15 and MacBook Pro 15" both have 15" screens but different body dimensions compared to most other 15" laptops.
  20. Yeah Game Freak might lose a few sales due to speculation and this debacle, but it's unlikely that those lost sales will be meaningful.
