  1. Budget: $3,500.00 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR, Flight Sims, Destiny 2, Witcher 3. Just gaming in general. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is my existing build, only difference is the graphics card is now a 980 since the other one died: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7QPg2R I’ll be upgrading in April, this is my part list so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hggYGL Is there anything I need to alter about this build? I have a few RGB fans I can still use from my old PC so that’s why I only included 3 with the case. It’ll be on my desk so I can view it, so RGB will be nice to have. Am I cheating out to much on the motherboard and power supply, or is it adequate for what I’ll be running? I’m also not sure if I should get a HDMI or stick with my Display Port cable. I’ll be playing at 1440p with an Asus - PG279Q ROG Swift monitor with a 165 Hertz refresh rate. Thanks everyone!
  2. Hey all. My GPU just died and I need a replacement for it. It was a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. I've been looking at RTX 3080 but it's unavailable everywhere. I use it for gaming on a 1440p resolution with the highest fps I can play at. I don't use it for anything else. Budget is $1200.00 thank you all!
  3. A bootable USB drive? Can I just use the USB that has Windows 10 on it from my physical Windows 10 copy that I purchased, or are you talking about something I don't know about?
  4. I don't really need to back up anything because all the important stuff is already on my external hard drive. Everything else I can just re-download again.
  5. So I built a new gaming PC and I accidentally forgot to format my SSD and the computer loaded Windows 10 onto the system, but I do not have the product key for my old copy of Windows 10 from my previous system, I have purchased a physical copy of Windows 10 with a new product code to use for it, but the old Windows 10 copy I am using now says that I need to activate it, which I guess it just does because it is technically not a genuine copy of Windows 10. My question is how do I uninstall Windows 10 and reinstall the new Windows 10? I know there is something called a fresh start, but I'm not sure if that will let me install a new copy of Windows 10 onto the old copy of Windows 10. If I reset my PC do I reset all of my files and such too?
  6. So I got the SHP9500s headphones and I'm curious if there is a way to make them wireless. I was recommended some Bluetooth adapters, but I'm pretty sure my PC won't have Bluetooth supported, I'll leave a link to my build at the bottom of there are any questions. If it can't be wireless, then I'll need a longer 3.5mm cable for it. Any suggestions? Thanks. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7vJLhq
  7. I'll link my computer build I built today at the bottom, but I'm wondering if the GPU I got can handle the monitor I'm getting, which has a 165 hertz refresh rate. If it can't then I can downgrade the monitor to 144 hertz, but mainly I'm playing AAA title games, so hopefully the GPU can handle it. Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6fRw9W
  8. So I'm wanting to get a HDD with a speed of 7200 RPM. I'd like it to be at most 6TB, but 3 TB would be preferred. Are there any black Friday deals along with these HDDs that are worth snagging up? My budget is around $200.
  9. Those headphones are on sale for $48 at Newegg, awesome. Thanks.
  10. So the Blue Yeti went on sale for $89 so I'm gonna grab that and I also want wireless headphones to go with it. This will be for PC gaming only, I'm trying to limit how many wires I have as much as possible. If I have to then I'll settle for a wired pair of headphones, but wireless is extremely preferred. No budget for this, but whatever is the cheapest I can get while still giving me great quality, comfort, and longevity would be great. Thanks guys.
  11. So I'm getting a Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB AORUS Video Card and the monitor I'm getting is a Asus - PG279Q ROG Swift 27 inch Monitor. What I'm wondering is, is there a display port cable that is the "definite" one to get in terms of high level gaming, or are they all the same more or less? Can someone narrow it down to one specific cord for me? Thanks.
  12. So I ordered the Dark Rock Pro 3 this week because it was a great price without thinking about the RAM clearance for it. My motherboard is Gigabyte - Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 and the RAM I'm looking at is Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000 Memory. I'm not sure if the motherboard would play a role with the RAM fitting in or not. I've heard that the clearance is 44mm maximum, and it probably doesn't help that I can't figure out how to view the specs as how high the RAM is, I know it's low profile, but I'm still worried. Thanks guys.
  13. So I'm getting a new monitor and it's down to these two. Right now the Acer is a decent price at $650, so I'm wondering if the price would drop any lower on Cyber Monday, if it won't I'll just buy it now, but what if the difference between the two monitors? As far as I can tell the only difference is the Acer as a 144 hertz refresh rate and the Asus has a 165 hertz refresh rate. Am I missing anything else?
  14. I'm getting the HyperX Cloud Alpha headset and I'm wondering since the headphones can unplug and plug back into a headphone jack, is it possible to get some sort of adapter to plug into it and have a wireless functionality?
  15. It's not built yet, I'm just preparing.
