  1. So I came across a post on PC Master race reddit that worried me a bit. Someone was talking about how many pcie or vga cables should be connected to the power supply to the gpu. Right now mine is connected with just one 6+2 vga cable, so I'm wondering if it's safe and if that's how it should be, or do I need 2 vga cables and if so, how do I do that? Do I use one with 6 and other cable with 2 connector? I have a rtx 4070 BTW its msi
  2. lol honestly idk I thought maybe it will provide better cooling
  3. Wait a minute whaaat, sorry I don't understand. Do I need to remove my heatsink from the m.2? I paid extra for it lol
  4. And i don't think that's the case because there isn't something you can clip down on the ruber thing around the spacer, its just the long m.2 screw that was holding the original shield in place that I removed in order to install the m.2
  5. This is the defualt screw that came pre installed on the mobo, and no other screw came with the m.2 or the mobo
  6. Well for some reason the m.2 with heatsink won't go in all the way, I think my m.2 screw is too short or the threads are too short .. is it okay like this? 20231208_185158_compressed.mp4
  7. Where is the best place to install the PCIe 4.0 NVMe m.2 on the motherboard? I have the Kingston Fury Renagade 2tb m.2 and the Asus ROG Strix B650-A motherboard
  8. Here is my current setup that I have upgraded quite significantly recently Went from Rtx 2070 and i7 8700k to Ryzen 7 7800x3d and Rtx 4070 Specs Case: NZXT h700i Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B650-A CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d Cooler: Corsair h100x elite rgb Video card: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 12gb Ventus 3x Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32 gb ddr5 6000mhz CL36 Storage: Kingston Fury Renegade 2tb m.2 & 2tb Seagate HDD PSU: Evga 850w Peripherals Monitor: Gigabyte 27" M27Q IPS QHD 170 Hz Keyboard: Corsair k70 mk2 Mouse: Logitech G Pro wireless Headset: HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless
  9. Hmm I see, but for when you are downloading large files or moving over files from folder to another than the difference from lower reading/writing speeds to higher would be quite noticeable no? I also think that windows will load faster too by a few seconds and you will load into games faster too, like when you are connecting to a csgo match for example or any other game, that is if it is installed on your m.2 ssd
  10. I'm not sure but maybe your ram got damamaged during the frying of the psu, and as far as I know a PC won't start without any working ram installed. It could be worth to check if you can find any extra ram just to see if that's the issue or not so you can move on with the troubleshooting.
  11. Did you by any chance tweak some settings of ur CPU or overclock it? Maybe its s unstable overclock
  12. Have you tried with different ram stick? Maybe its the ram causing the problem
  13. Ok thank you for this, very informative. Well I'm not sure what speeds my 250gb m.2 is but would windows and other things like games and stuff be faster for example if my new 2tb m.2 is like 7000 writing and 7000 reading and my old one was 3000 writing and 3000 reading ? If that's the case than its best to move windows over to the new faster drive no?
  14. So right now the only m.2 drive I have is a 250gb m.2 that I got windows 11 installed on, than I have a 2 tb hdd for games and stuff. But I just ordered a 2 tb m.2 ssd it's called kingston fury renegade I think and it comes with heat sink thingy. What I'm wondering is if I'm able to sort of merge both m.2s together into 1 so it might display one drive instead of 2. Do both m.2s have to be same size ? Or same PCIe gen? Because I think my current 250gb m.2 is not 4th gen PCIe but 3rd.

Ahh I understand, so I must connect each fan to those headers on the mobo in able to control them in the bios? That's a lot of cables lol

  17. What motherboard software would that be, i have asus rog strix asus rog strix b650-a
  18. This cant be right, you mean i cant control my fan speed and AIO pump speed?
  19. The y spliter and all fan cabels and stuff, the tach cabel for the AIO is connected to CPU_FAN on my mobo
  20. I'm not following, i have corsair h100x rgb elite and nowhere in the box was there a usb power cable those are the only 2 cables comming out of the aio
  21. What usb cable ? the 2 cabels coming out of the AIO head is one for rgb and other is for aio pump both are connected and i can see and hear the pump running and in other software i downloaded the pump rpm is moving too so idk man
