  1. To start with the problem, hdd sometimes doesn't show in windows on cold boot but shows up after restart. I'll explain. I had just a hdd with 2 partitions, c: windows and d: with everything else. I bought ssd and wanted to move windows here so i reinstalled windows on ssd, and i think i made 1st mistake here(didn't disconnected hdd). At the start of installation process i formatted old hdd c: partition and put windows on ssd. In bios boot priority was 1.usb 2.ssd. I can't clearly recall but i think i was first offered dual boot option after first restart of installation process. After the installation finished i booted again in windows installation i erased old hdd C: partition and erased system reserved partition(thought it remembered old windows and didn't want 2 options for boot) and made now partition with that unallocated space(most likely my 2nd mistake). Next bit i don't remember well but i think windows wouldn't boot so i reinstalled it again. It all worked well. I think 2 days later first boot in the morning hdd was missing in explorer and in the disk management, so went in bios but it was detected. Restart and hdd was detected in windows normally, i backed up data from hdd to another PC so hdd was working fine. HDD is missing in only windows after some cold boots but not all and always comes back after restart. I have changed sata cable, checked power connector and deleted new partition and left some unallocated space on hdd(thought it might help). Once a hdd is detected it works fine all day. Did i deleted some partition i shouldn't have, is there a way to remake it, will formatting whole hdd help or are these signs of hdd dying?
  2. Was looking to buy some cheap mouse to replace my now 10 years old mouse since it started bugging, and found 2 that looked decent. Since i am broke student Motospeed v40 and Redragon Centrophoreus M601 were in my budget, but i saw Razer Deathadder 3.5g that is a bit pricier. I have little to no idea about quality of mice or sensors or switches so i need help, i hope to get few years of usage from a mouse so any input would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Was just reading reviews on newegg and looks like asus b350m boards have some real problems, and asrock ab350 pro4 is as good as i can hope for. I think i will oc since 3.1ghz is a bit low, sure it can get much more even on stock voltage.
  4. Thank you, i will wait for r3 reviews and head to the shop on friday.
  5. Any idea on ram speed, does it matter if i go for 2133 or 2666, im not sure if board will do 2666 with this ram.
  6. I was looking but i cant find how good the vrm is on asus b350m boards, i saw some youtuber actually put heatsinks and a fan over vrm when he was ocing, if that is a must its better to buy better board. I see you have asrock ab350m board, how is your exp with it?
  7. I will most likely be buying Ryzen 3 1200, so i'm looking for a motherboard, in my price range is Asrock ab350 pro4 and as far i can read reviews its good, but i was wondering if i buy cheaper ram and mobo i may be able to go for r5 1400. The cheapest b350 mobo in my country is asus prime b350m-k, but since i may overclock is it good for r5 overclocking without vrm heatsink? I was going to buy corsair vengeance lpx 2666mhz kit, but now i was wondering how would performance be if i buy cheapest 2133mhz stick of ram? Does anyone have experience with these mobos and ram speed performace for ryzen?
  8. Gaming, 1080p, rx 470, i was thinking is it worth spending more now so i dont upgrade in 3-5years or save now and upgrade in 2-3 years, is r5 strong for something in 2-3 years so i can upgrade just graphic card.
  9. Missclicked enter before i wrote, Lets say we know in theory how r3 will perform and im looking to upgrade to ether r3 1200 or r5 1400 and i dont know is it worth it. lets say i have 33k of money, r3 is 12k, asrock b350 pro 4 is 11k and 8gb of 2666 of raShould i go for cheaper motherboard or even a320 and r5 1400?
  10. Already tried, I got offered just a bit more than i paid for, and for that money it is not worth being without a pc for months.
  11. While downloading drivers from asus i saw there was a bios update released. Anyone have an idea what its for? Should i update bios and if i would to do it how is it done? Graphic card is asus strix rx 470 4gb.
  12. For the past 2 months i was modding my pc and i am nearly done, all that is left is few aesthetic pieces, i/o shroud (nearly done), and gpu backplate. It is just a piece of acrylic painted, and i'm thinking just double sided tape on top of the screws to hold on to, but i worry about temps. When i was looking to buy my gpu i saw some reviews that said it had some hot spots on the back of the pcb and since this will definitely not help with that i don't want to make it any worst. Should i put backplate on and is there a reason to worry about temps if i do put it on? Graphic card is asus strix rx 470
  13. If you are asking about the adapter its DVI-D to hdmi, only digital output on the dvi graphic card.
  14. Started getting some artifacts on the monitor, top right corner horizontal lines flashing, black and white snow, sometimes green screen for a second, only in game or video playback, normal on desktop( no artifacts, maybe a bit lighter colors but not sure). Have two monitors connected, one on hdmi one on dvi (over dvi to hdmi adapter), artifacts shows only on the monitor that is connected to dvi , tried different monitors, only 1 monitor on dvi, different dvi port, still artifacts. Just 1 monitor on hdmi all works fine. Problem started the day i cleaned the pc, maybe connected cant see how. Looked online for clues: Bad cable-all works well on hdmi port with the same cables, Driver- all works on hdmi, still clean installed different driver same story, DVI port died/dying- both dvis?, Graphic card dying(Bought maybe less than 6 months ago)- would it work on hdmi but not on dvi, The one i don't understand something about PSU ground lead( I don't know maybe someone can explain), and the one i suspect bad dvi-hdmi adapter.( ordered new one before i thought anything else could be wrong) Anyone have an idea what could be the problem, everything worked fine for the past months since i bought new graphic card and psu.
