  1. Hey all, I am in a sort of dilemma here. Currently I've got a 2k GSYNC TN 144Hz Asus monitor and I am looking to upgrade. I am pretty casual when it comes to gaming. Looking to get into an UltraWide IPS for workflow and gaming. I've looked around and found some decent deals at Best Buy. One is the Alienware AW3418DW (used) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/alienware-aw3418dw-monitor-34-wqhd-3440x1440-ips-nvidia-g-sync-curved-screen-certified-refurbished/12471441 Other is the Asus PG348Q (new) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-asus-34-rog-swift-ultrawide-wqhd-5ms-gtg-curved-ips-led-g-sync-gaming-monitor-pg348q-pg348q/10414771 Looking for some input. If anyone has any of these monitors let me know what you think or just provided me with some feedback. I do like that the Alienware can overclock to 120Hz and the Asus only stops at 100Hz. I have played at both 100Hz and 144Hz on my current monitor to see if I can tell the difference and it's pretty difficult to tell for me, so I don't think it will make too much of a difference. My system specs: CPU: i7-9800x RAM: 32GB 3200MHz GSKILL Trident RGB GPU: RTX 2080 SUPER Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I’ll do some measurements and see if I may be able to fit it in.
  3. So recently my AIO cooler pump decided to stop working. It has lasted me 4 years, which I consider to be pretty reasonable seeing as I paid about $170 for back in 2014. I am caught in a dilemma now. I have wanted to get into custom watering cooling, but I am still a student with a limited budget. EK has started to make custom water cooling more affordable and I think I can start by cooling my CPU first then add additional rads and components later on. I am curious to know if anyone has used the ekwb kits ( https://www.ekwb.com/shop/kits ) . I am looking at the slim rad as I have a NZXT S340 Elite, so fitting a 240 rad in the front will be tight for space. If it is worth it, I don’t mind spending the extra cash into something like this. I am looking for some opinions! My other option is to outright buy a new AIO, but I think I’d like to start custom water cooling. System Specs: CASE: NZXT S340 Elite CPU: i7-7700k Motherboard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS HERO IV RAM: 16GB Corsair LPX vengeance GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1080 SSD: M.2 WD black 512GB Thanks! Looking forward to your opinions!
  4. Hi there! I am currently running a i5-4670k @ 4.2Ghz on a MSI Z87-GD65 motherboard along with a Asus GTX 1080 at around 1.9Ghz. 16GB of ram and a 120gb Samsung SSD. My question is, is it worth upgrading to the new Kaby Lake CPU? Preferably the i7. I play mostly planet coaster, and occasionally Battlefield one. Would I see much improvement in my game play? I am using the 2560x1440p asus ROG monitor at 144hz. I usually get around 60-80fps. As my parks get bigger in planet coaster, my FPS starts to drop quite a bit. I'm thinking it's my CPU, but just want to make sure.
  5. Yeah ill look to replace it in a year or 2. Thanks for the input
  6. Hi there, I am wondering if upgrading to the i7-4790K from my i5-4670K will be a performance increase when gaming. PC Specs: i5-4670K MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard G.Skill 16GB Ram Asus Strix GTX 1080 Thanks.
