  1. Brilliant that's what I was expecting but wanted to be sure. Hopefully the laptop doesn't have some kind of drive encryption built in
  2. My friend wants me to take some photos off her harddrive and move them to a USB stick. I plan to remove hard drive from laptop, plug into my PC via sata, then take files and move to USB stick. The hard drive will also has the OS on it, will this prevent me from accessing the photos stored on there?
  3. I want to give my PCs internet connection to my mobile. I do not have a WiFi card but I have got my phone plugged in with USB, How can I go about this?
  4. I'll have a look at it now, thanks for the response!
  5. So my Note 10 is dying and I'm in need of a android budget phone. All I want is something with a nice screen, good IP rating, great battery life, fingerprint scanner, USBC charger Dont care about cameras, gaming performance, headphone jacks In case it's important, I'm in the UK
  6. Worth trying powering on with the button directly on the motherboard instead? Doubt it will help but worth a go maybe
  7. Might want to wait to see how the 3000 series turn out. Looking like you should definitely wait until they release. I would look at getting 2x16GB sticks instead of 4x8GB sticks. EDIT: Like Jaslion said, you only really need 16GB tho You're also going to need a lot more storage than that. Get at least a 1TB HDD to go with it
  8. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/S7LLHB7 For one of my groups university assignments, we have to come up with a business idea, we need to perform some market research as part of this assignment. Our business idea is to essentially move the physical lanyard based system we have now (because no one uses it) and move it onto a mobile or other similar device. It's only 8 questions so if you can spare a minute to help us get some responses, that would be greatly appropriated! https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/S7LLHB7
  9. My friends cousin has some sort of business, and she need a laptop. She apparently has a "high" budget and will be using photoshop. I'm guessing it's a photography business. Any recommendations?
  10. So i'm playing around trying to make a random website as practise. I've got 3 cards all with images inside but I can only work out how to change the position of the first image. How do i change the others? Using bootstrap for this as well I am new to this so please forgive my noob html: <!-- CARDS START --> <div class="card-deck"> <div class="card"> <img class="card-img-top" src="img/cardPlaceholder3.png" alt="Card image cap"> <div class="card-body"> <h5 class="card-title">Ryzen 3700X</h5> <p class="card-text">CONTENT</p> <a href="#" class="btn btn-outline-secondary"> Add to basket<a/> </div> </div> <div class="card"> <img class="card-img-top" src="img/cardPlaceholder3.png" alt="Card image cap"> <div class="card-body"> <h5 class="card-title">I9 9900K</h5> <p class="card-text">CONTENT</p> <a href="#" class="btn btn-outline-secondary"> Add to basket<a/> </div> </div> <div class="card"> <img class="card-img-top" src="img/cardPlaceholder3.png" alt="Card image cap"> <div class="card-body"> <h5 class="card-title">Threadripper</h5> <p class="card-text">CONTENT</p> <a href="#" class="btn btn-outline-secondary"> Add to basket<a/> </div> </div> </div> <!-- CARDS END --> css: .card-img-top{ width: 50%; height: auto; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } I figured since they all have the class .card-img-top that the css would apply for all of the images
  11. Ok thanks for the reply! I will pass this on to my friend. I kind of figured what you said here would be the case but there's nothing in the Amazon description or anything regarding the BIOS version, which is a bit annoying
  12. So I have a 128GB SSD which is full. It has my OS, and a good few programs on it. Unsurprisingly, it's virtually full. I really don't want to go through the hassle of redownloading everything on a new bigger SSD. From what I understand you can clone your drive and then just set your new drive as your boot drive. Is this a good idea and is it safe? Thanks in advance! P.S For those who might ask, I got a 128GB SSD because it was free, I knew eventually it was likely to fill up
