  1. Hey Guys I ended up just purchasing a windows 10 product key and download windows 10 on the PC. IT was easier and probably better that way. Thanks for your guys help and input though.
  2. So how would i go about installing the usb drivers?
  3. The reason i wanted to install win 7 is because i had a one more use of a win7 product key left. Plus i was never a fan of win 10. But do you guys think it would just be easier to spend the extra cash and just install win 10?
  4. Hello community, i have recently built my brother a computer system and currently trying to install windows 7. However once i get to the screen where to choose language my keyboard and mouse stop working. I tried swicthing the ports making sure they are in usb 2.0 but no luck. I updated the bios to the latest version and still no luck. Anyone have any idea on what to do? My build: Amd Ryzen 1300x Corsair vengence 16gb DDR4 3200 MSI B350 Bazooka AM4 Sandisk 120GB SSD Seagate Baracudda 1TB Corsair CX series 550 watt bronze Asus Dual gtx 1060 6GB *also trying to install windows through cd*
  5. Is it better to setup the hard drive as a new partition or migrate it? And whats the difference?Getting my SSD tomorrow and want to know. Can you also review what i have to do. I feel bad for asking that but I just want to make sure i don't screw things up and end up with a bad HDD and SSD. Thank you
  6. Okay Thank you very much! I will let you know if I have any more questions!
  7. And you say " and then manage the remaining unallocated space either as a new partition or extend one of the other partitions over it. " what exactly do you mean by that and how would I go about doing that? Sorry for so many questions just new at this and dont want to screw anything up.
  8. Thanks! Thank for making it clear on what to do. I just have one more question. Where would I go on my HDD to delete all partitions?
  9. So to get this straight. I go into my HDD and delete all of the windows OS files on my HDD. Then disconnect the HDD and then install SSD then install OS on it. Once that is done put the HDD back into my PC. Sorry for asking this I just want to make sure i do things right. Dont want to screw anything up.
  10. Okay thank you. So once i installed the OS on a SSD will the OS on my HDD get removed or do I have to manually remove the OS from the SSD
  11. Hey guys. So I am looking to invest in a SSD. I was wondering if I could transfer my current copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on my HDD to a SSD. I would like to not have to go through the process of reinstalling my OS through CD. If it is possible is it worth it? Or is it safer to just do a fresh install of windows?
  12. Idk get it either. But has soon as i set it to high performance my games ran flawlesly. I belive it was because my gou was starving for power
  13. I figured it out. I had my power settings set to balanced. I changed it to High Performance and no am running GTA 5 at 100FPS on high settings
  14. I FIGURED IT OUT GUYS! I had my power settings set to Balanced rather than High Performance. Everything is solved. Getting over 100 fps on GTA right now on high settings
