hi there wondering if anyone could possibly help me identify this SMD is the one with a circle around it in the picture. its missing from my gpu and would like to identify it so i can get a replacement and repair it. msi 1650 super gaming x
-
have changed to a new CMOS battery still having the same issue
-
I have a old gigabyte ga-z77x-d3h whenever i make a hardware change the bios corrupts (things as simple as dropping in a 2nd stick of ram or a wifi card) and i have to restore from 2nd bios and then proceeds to post fine if i dont make a change i can leave it off and unplugged for weeks and not a single issue when i turn it back on. any idea what could be causing this issue?
-
then i would try different ram... then a different cpu and if that still doesnt fix the problem its most likely a faulty mobo as with the steps you have taken it doesnt seem like the os is corrupted or any issue there
-
hmm if its the same psu but u just replaced the fan its unlikely its that i would still try a different psu just incase somthing went wrong while replacing the fan
-
did you replace the psu with a new one? and whats the specs of the pc?
-
may have to reset after changing the settings in nvidia control panel as with the power management it doesnt always change while the pc is on
-
could also be they arent going to low power state... my 970 would sit at 35c 1227 mhz 40% fan speed (galax 970 hof) at idle cause i had prefer maximum performance in nvidia control panel try changing that and let me know if things change
-
it has updated to my new mobo already with out me having to do anything and my windows key is still registed could this be a symptom of my ssd failing?
-
Thanks for the reply ill check and see if it's updated the mobo I'm using if not I will try a reg edit and force update it if that doesn't work I shall take you advice and see if I can even put windows on it again with out it dying by checking the smart data and the internet search of my ssd. Again thanks for the reply the first 2 people where pretty unhelpful
-
then wouldnt my copy of windows not work at all? im on the system im talking about right now... can i use the register key that i am using now? and i would prefer not too if there is another way around it cause my ssd is old and im worried if i write a large file to it it is going to fail
-
no didn't think i would have too. my copy of windows is still registered
-
im having problems since buying a new mobo my system boots fine but fails to load windows i turn it off and try again and it usually works don't know whats wrong never had this problem with my old mobo everything is 100% stable once i get into windows please help
