Get a better PSU if you really want to upgrade because the 600W from EVGA is kinda dodgy. Something like a Seasonic M12ii 520W or EVGA GS/GQ/G2 550/650W would be good.

Then yeah what @monjessenstein said. Everyone on your system is fine, the SSD would cause noticeable speed increases for little cost. Clean your drive to a decent state and you can move the HDD OS to the SSD and really not lose anything.

By cleaning your drive, I mean cleaning it to match the amount of space on the SSD.
(If HDD has 500GB of files on it, move all NON-OS files to a backup. Or purchase a 512GB SSD, shrink to fit.)

I would recommend a Solid State above any other potential upgrade from that build. Grab yourself a 256GB Drive and slap the OS onto that thing. Nothing feels better than a snappy PC with a lightning quick boot-up sequence.

    He's running 16GB.

Honestly, it's quite a decent system! Really like the style of it. SSD is almost a must at this point in time. Doesn't have to be terribly expensive. I live quite happily off a 120GB Intel 530 Series SSD as well as a HDD in a hddcaddy on my laptop.

What kind of editing are we talking about? Heavy duty stuff? Or light day to day type work? Swapping the Mobo is going to be expensive, mainly because with a newer Mobo comes newer CPU, sometimes a swap of RAM to something compatible (rarely) and possibly a new CPU cooler.

I personally feel like you can milk more time out of the Mobo/CPU *depending* on what you're editing and doing on it daily.
