  1. Update, I found this AOC G2460PF monitor for a little over $200 on amazon does anyone have any experience with this monitor? Is there any outstanding problems with it or downsides? https://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PF-24-Inch-Professional-Monitor/dp/B01BV1XBEI Update 2 I also found this Acer XFA240 monitor on amazon, any reason I should get one over the other? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZYHZ6R6
  2. 1080p or higher is fine, i don't know if anything higher is 120 or 144hz though
  3. I currently have a 1080p Samsung SyncMaster 2333w as my main display and a yellow vertical line came across the display months ago and I ignored it but yesterday a blue on appeared as well so I figure it's about time to upgrade What are some good gaming displays that I should get with around a $200 USD budget? I have a computer that can hit 120 and 144 fps on Overwatch so high refresh rate would be nice My GPU is a 1070 with 1 x Dual-Link DVI-D 1 x HDMI 2.0b 3 x DisplayPort 1.4 Update, I found this AOC G2460PF monitor for a little over $200 on amazon does anyone have any experience with this monitor? 4. Ill try buying one at bestbuy and if it doesnt work well Ill return it and go with the router
  5. Any recommended powerline adapters? Is it really better to get a powerline then to upgrade my router? Would I have to use direct connections with them and no extenstion cables?
  6. I can't really take my pc to my router and set it up right now, but on my old prebuilt PC I was able to get 25mb/s on the installed adapter from my room (where I use my pc)
  7. I wont be using my pc right next to the router, so I don't see the point in doing that. I was on LAN when I setup the pc but that's the only time I planned to be on it
  8. On ethernet I was getting 86/Mbs On the TP-Link Wireless N300 PCI Express Adapter I got 8Mb/s I was going to buy the new router and new pci card so I can have dual band ac connection
  9. Just built my first PC two days ago! but my internet connection on it is terribly low compared to the prebuilt I had before I Currently I have an Actiontec MI424WR Rev.I router that is from Verizon https://www.actiontec.com/products/datasheets/VrznMI424WRrevI_dtsht_Verzn brnded.pdf I also have this $15 PCi-E adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0079XWMEI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Since the internet speed was so slow I came to the conclusion that not only should I upgrade my PCI-E adapter, but also my router so I can get the speeds supported by the new adapter Currently I am thinking about purchasing the TP Link AC750 dual band gigabit router or the AC1200 dual band wireless router, but I am unsure what the point of getting the 1200 over the 750 is because the 750 has gigabit 750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16833704206 1200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704265 I am also thinking about buying this Rosewill AC1300 PCI-E dual band adapter to go with the router http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166124&ignorebbr=1 If someone can look over everything and tell me anything they see that is troubling that would be much appreciated Im on a $100 budget in case anyone has any suggestions for other parts instead of the ones linked
  10. That's $100 for just the access point and I was thinking of spending $100 total on the pcie card and the router. I was currently thinking about ordering this router http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16833704206 Or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704265 Would it be an improvement over the old Verizon one since its ac and 5ghz and 2.4ghz? Also I was going to pair it with this pci-e card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166124 Is this a good solution to my slow internet problem?
  11. SO there will be no speed improvement if I go from this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0079XWMEI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 single band card to the Asus Dual band? Do you have any recommendations of a new router and PCI-E networking card that I can purchase for around $90-$100 max total and will give me better speed?
  12. Yea that should be the one but here is the official verizon one, sorry for not linking earlier https://www.actiontec.com/products/datasheets/VrznMI424WRrevI_dtsht_Verzn brnded.pdf
  13. Im on a desktop and im currently using this bad wireless card, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0079XWMEI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My speed is about slow from where I keep my computer using this card The router is the Actiontec MI424WR Rev.I this is the datasheet I found with a quick google search
  14. All three of these wireless network cards are all the same model number but different manufacturers. Does that mean they will all give you the same connection quality and the only difference appearance and how they deal with heat? Which adapter would you recommenced purchasing for gaming, streaming video, and heavy internet use? Any and all help is appreciated Asus Dual band PCI-E adapter (AC1300) https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Wi-Fi-Express-Adapter-PCE-AC56/dp/B00JNA337K/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474781064&sr=1-2&keywords=ac1300 TP-Link Archer Dual Band PCI-E adapter (AC1300) https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-450Mbps-Wireless-Express-TL-WDN4800/dp/B016K0896K/ref=zg_bsnr_tab_pd_mw_1?th=1 Asus Dual Band USB adapter https://www.amazon.com/USB-AC55-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC1300-Wi-Fi-Adapter/dp/B00Q6KRLUU/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474781064&sr=1-3&keywords=ac1300 If it helps with your decision, my current router is the stock one you get with Verizon FIos Current router https://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-Verizon-Fios-Wireless-Router/dp/B00PME4F1E
