  1. I installed a new gpu gtx 1650 had RX 550. Sound no longer works. Tried old and new gpu in another computer and they are fine as well as HDMI cord. I updated drivers and tried rolling back. Other thoughts? Did the slot just die on me?
  2. he should look into older tech as its a better value deal for $500 range Tech Yes City shows a lot of deals in that part of the world.
  3. what about if you use and RX-570 8 gig for for GPU which CPU as I am thinking of the same build?
  4. No bent pins as far as I can tell. Maybe I will double with magnifying glass
  5. Is there a way to bring back a bad dimm slot? I do not see any foreign debri. Used air to clean so far. Tested with good ram and if I place a good ram in slot PC won’t boot, gives error of bad ram. This is a Dell Optiplex 3020 with i5-2400 currently installed. I have in working slot a 4 gig stick. Thank you for your support
  6. I agree, but when I bought the GPU RX-580 8 gig, it came with the 1 stick of ram. I spent $100 on the combo and want to use savings to make most profit if i sell build
  7. This is going into a budget build, that already has a used RX-580 for graphics. This is not for intense gaming. I am wondering if I should go with I3-9100F or use Ryzen? I here that Ryzen suffers with a single stick of ram. If going Ryzen would look for 1200 cpu most likely
  8. yes the PCIe 16x can only use half height cards in this case. I do have a GT1030 for one of the builds for playing Civilization 6, I am sure it will be fine for that game. Others need like RX-480 or 570 like GPU
  9. ok, but may need help as this are low profile PCI slots sadly. I didnt think of special connections for power
  10. great idea, thank you, I never thought to look at B&H for PC parts
  11. I have several SFF Dells with I-5-3470 that I want to convert to gaming PC's, I know I will need new case, what is good 1080 level GPU should I use? Is 8 gigs of DDR3 ram enough, only 2 dim slots sadly. I have 3 budgets. $150,$250 and $350. This is for PSU, case, GPU and more ram if 8 gigs wont work
  12. Would like thoughts on what CPU is needed to maintain high to ultra settings using a 1070 gpu? I am thinking of either 8 or 16 gigs of ram and budget of $300 for every thing but gpu? If use ddr3; I have that, but low end cpu like I-5 3470
  13. Spent budget on gpu now thinking of upgrading from old Xeon 5450 to new. Not big on overclocking unless easy and I believe ryzen is
  14. Planning a quick build for college dorm room. What is a good case that is sturdy? Also can I have most fans blow away from case? Maybe intake from bottom?
