  1. @SeanAngelo @Cela1 @Ryoutarou97 i saw a model that have a backlit keyboard from this video the ux310 is not very common for some reason. its a great laptop with good battery life, decent specs, it has a 2.5" drive bay, and it even has a variant with a graphics card. the only thing that i don't like from it is the trackpad, 2 of the 3 usb are usb 2.0, and no thunderbolt compatibility
  2. hi i own a asus ux310ua. the model that i own doesn't have a backlit keyboard, but i know that a model with a backlit keyboard exist. my question is, can i change the keyboard on my laptop to a backlit one by buying the keyboard replacement that has a backlit on it?
  3. @paddy-stone this is the message i sent to gigabyte my gigabyte p35x v5 have break down 3 times by the same problem (after it went to BSOD, the windows will not boot). the service centre replaced the ssd but it didn't seemed to fix anything. at this point i just want either my money back or a brand new laptop and this is their reply Dear andrew, Thank you for your kindly mail and inquiry. After checking, your notebook model is P35W v5. The P35W v5 comes with GeForce GTX 970M graphics and the P35X v5 use GeForce GTX 980M chipset. You can check this information to recognize your notebook model. Meanwhile, this case needs further confirmation. It may take some time for the whole procedure but we will keep you post as soon as there is any update available. Best Regards, GIGABYTE i mean like i dont care about the model number (just a damn typo). i just want a working laptop. this one is soo pissing me off, because its quite expensive and it broke down for no good reason. gigabyte support also didn't say anything useful regarding this problem. I'm just sad now. thanks for keeping me company
  4. @paddy-stone i gave it back to the gigabyte support. they replaced the ssd around a few weeks back. the laptop was repaired and i was happy for a moment. but it died again on me today. now when i turn it on it just went to a terminal and ask for me to connect a boot-able device. this sucks, i tried the old trick of re-attaching the ssd but it didn't work. right now i just wish to get a new device or a refund. huff, what do you think i should do? thanks P.S it died on me when i was trying to open steam ( I think the program i opened has nothing to do with the problem) the transcend is the new ssd
  5. @paddy-stone thank you very much for your help and support. you have given me a lot to think of. a couple days ago it happened for a few of times at the same day, but it happened while i was in chrome and opened a few tabs on chrome. so i tried re installing chrome and clean my laptop with windows defender. the windows defender didn't find any virus or malware. at the moment my laptop is working fine, after i reinstall chrome( even though i don't think this is a fix). it will have to do for now. the school year is almost finish. if the BSOD appear again i'll be sure to give it back to gigabyte. thank you very much
  6. @paddy-stone thank you very much for your input. i tried to restart the laptop multiple times, but for some reason it only works if i disconnect the ssd and reconnect it (when i restart it, it went to bios). i even tried swapping the m.2 slot ( the gigabyte p35w has two m.2 sata slot) it worked for a while but then went back to the BSOD. when i send it to gigabyte they said that it had a faulty ssd so they replaced it. i'm not very inclined to send it back to gigabyte because their service building location is quite far from where i live, and since i'm a student i need my laptop for my daily use. the last time i gave it back to gigabyte it took the a whole week. thanks for the input you guys are very helpful
  7. hey guys, i have this gigabyte p35w v5 laptop. i've own it for arounf 5 months now, and it gives me the bluescreen that there's something wrong with my windows.after it restarted itself the windows won't boot. so i gave it to the gigabyte service to be fixed. it was fixed for a while then after 2 months the bluescreen is back. so i tried removing the ssd and cleaning its contacts, then i restart my laptop and it worked. a couple weeks after that the bluescreen appeared again. so i did the whole removing and cleaning and it worked again. my laptop is working at the moment, but how do i prevent this error. is it the ssd? or the mother board? i dont think its the mother board though. should i change my ssd? the ssd model is L8T-128L9G i don't mind to change the ssd, because i do need a bigger (c) drive. thanks for the support. much love
  8. thanks for the support guys. thinking about it again i would probably use it as a standalone drive and use it for games and programs. bcs like you said that m.2 is already crazy fast. @Captain_WD
